Hi
Thanks for the Forum!
I wrote a little Program to extract Map-Size, Max User etc. from MapCache.ini.
But it would be easier to extract this Informations direct from the *.map.
But how? I was not able to find this information...
Or is there already a map-Browser around somewhere?
Thanks for any help!

What exactly are you trying to do & why are you trying to do it?

Thanks for your reply.
I want to manage my around 500 downloaded Maps. Interesting points: How many Players, what dimensions (3200x3200 etc.), snapshot.
A little VB-program does most of the work, but first I have to create the mapcache.ini, correct Mapname/Mapfolder (sometimes dots in Foldernames or other foldername than mapname prevent the map to be loaded)...
It would be easier to do all in one step: Simply scan for *.map and read the infos. ... but I was not able to find out which bytes of this binary file are for dimensions etc.... seems not to easy...

Sorry but that's not really what this forum is about. Try a programming forum.

?
Programming is not the Problem, but the format of the *.map...
Anyway, I flushed the last idea, and will keep my Exel-VB-Scribt.
... seems to be the first Map-Browser :)
