I bought the EA Uber-Pak a while back (Generals + ZH, Black & White 2 + Battle of the Gods, yadda yadda yadda) and installed it. Had big fun.

But recently, I got the C&C First Decade disc, which is several discs I don't need to worry about. So I went to un-install ZH (so I could re-install with the TFD CD), and it gives me the 'InstallShield is Preparing...' message, filling the progress bar a little more than 1/3. Then it just stops, the InstallShield box disappears, and I don't get a 'Welcome to Un-Install!' message that lets me continue. I've been doing constant virus scans, so I'm pretty sure that's not it... any help?

could be to do with left overs from the ZH install in the registry

go through and clear it out of any Zero hour stuff and delete all the files and folders left in the program files

To completely remove a game, you'll need to remove any registry files associated with it too, so basically your comp never knows it's been installed on your PC before.

Start > Run > 'Regedit'

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Whatever you're removing.

So for ZH, it'd be deleting the EA Games > ZH folder, etc. :)

(In my case I'd just delete the EA Games folder, as I don't have any other EA Games listed apart from ZH there, but yours might be different so I'll say ZH to be on the safe side.)

It didn't help. I still get about halfway through the progress bar, it freezes, and then stops entirely.

I'm just gonna install TFD... there's no files to come in conflict with anyway.
