I'm sure everyone is thrilled that Kane is in the lime light again in the expansion Kane's Wrath. Nod fanatics have their leader, their hero...someone to look up to, but who does GDI have? Good question, huh? I personally have favored GDI from the start, but always felt we were lacking our own charismatic leader. Someone to guide us in our first difficult days of battle and beyond. I suppose it was too hard to fit someone in for GDI like Kane, who doesn't seem to age any. It's too late now, but early on they could have immortalized the Commando from the original C&C game, like maybe him getting injected accidentally with Kane's blood. If that would have been the case, then today we would have our very own special GDI leader, AND our very own Commando Talking Bobblehead to boot! Us GDIers were left in the cold. We are a country without a King. Heck, the Tiberian Universe and Red Alert Universe could have been tied in nicely by having Mr. Commando and Miss Tanya get married, immortalize the pair somehow (again, we could have done the accidental blood injection thingy), and then we would have ourselves a King and Queen. We could have had a GDI Roundtable where the best of the best meet to discuss how to once and for all do away with the evil that is Kane. We could have had our very own website too (commandoandtanyalives.org). Heck, at this point I'd even settle for Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings as our beloved leader, or maybe even Treebeard. Be one with nature and all that good stuff.

lol Tanya and the commando eh? :p

Gandalf would be an awesome leader, lol. or if nothing else his actor as the GDI president or something.

Wasnt there some general from GDI in Tiberian Dawn? Always breifing you or something, not really a leader but it's someone.

GDI's leader should be Kane's twin brother who grew up being their moms favorite child and also still retains a full head of hair.

Just an idea...

lets stick to sci fi madness man, the idea isn't the best, eh, keep working :scared:

Lion, I thought u would understand gdi....

Its not the kind of force that has one leader throughout... the rest die like kane doesn't, they have to keep working, and i think fear would be one thing, if anyone rose up in gdi, and apposed kane, think of the consequences.....

Kane wouldn't stand for it, he would wipe the opposer out, making himself look good, and probably give gdi a giant shockwave down, in cnc3, the story line is pretty surprising for gdi..... It would drive me mad if a madman like boyle got up where he wanted, in gdi...

Hey LION since I am a GDI fan too, it is you that has to be their leader to take out the evil Kane. Not some foreign commando born with weird blood, but you LION, the most noble of the forest. Who would want to share some blood with Kane who is evil, not superhuman. (oh no I mad the Nod guys mad)

I take great pleasure in saving the Earth from the wrath of Kane. Then when I want to be really evil I will take Nod to have some fun. HEE HEE:devil: HAA HAA HAA (evil laugh)

GDI doesn't need a leader like Kane, because we have a mission, think about it, what is NOD without Kane, just a bunch of terrorist who seek power without ideals :p.

General Sheppard, but I don't think he was nearly as charismatic as Kane was. TS had McNiel and Solomon, who weren't as timeless as Kane it seems. It really seems that if it weren't for Kucan they might've not really bothered as much with cutscenes. The GDI commando seems to be that seems to represent GDI the best, as Lion said, but they really didn't build upon that.

Maybe GDI can steal some DNA from Kane and clone him. Only rewrite his memories. That is the only way to get a leader like Kane.

Well technically Lion, GDI doesn't need any Kane-like figure. It needs noble ideals, and that's about it to deserve immortal fame. ;-P

Havoc would probably be the single closest thing to a near-legend hero that GDI ever had, cause the others were just simply generals with no real trait or strength.

However, if General Carville from the RA universe were to fit in this picture, then it would be a totally different story indeed...:chin:
