View Full Version : how to beat rushing infantry players
I have been playing this very good infantry player who builds 2 WF on either flank andthen rushes my base on either flank to destroy my chinnoks(simlar to players who rush with gattling tanks). The problem I have is that even if I destroy 1 LO or troop crawler it takes so much time to kill all the infantry and by the time I have he is on the other side killing my other structures.
How do I counteract this?
Any suggestions on the following:
1. Building base defences on either side?
2 Laser turret drops
3 Should i attack with King raptors or should i start with humvees?
4 MD drop on his base.
Any suggestion appreciated:)

Use LL MDs to destroy AOs and ATCs and flashbang rangers to kill the infantry. If you're AF you can also use KRs to kill AOs and all the infantry inside (but not ATCs).

Unless the AOs aren't moving. Flash Vees + Missile defenders work well as any USA, and USAF can use KR to rape AOs, migs, and Bunkerlixs.

he shouldn't have enough starting off supply to get 2 attack outpost at start.
so i suggest you get 2 missile defenders at each flank first. and then just spam hummvies. because lazer lock his attack outpost. and use ur chinook to zap the missiles from the rocket soldiers and use hummvie kill them.

Whoa! That's never happened to me before! But this guy probably won't be playing Zero Hour for long. If you think about it, with this strategy, if it doesn't work, the player will lose a few minute after. If a china player does this strategy, I'm assuming that he'd sell his command center, build a power plant, supply center, & supply truck. He'd have $6,100 left & then I'd think he'd send his dozer to build the war factories which would bring down his money to $2,100 & with the extra money he'd get from his supply trucks would be enough to build combat units. So if this strategy doesn't work, this guy is a sitting duck! So the game would end really quick. But if it does work, then the game would end quick. So with all these very quick games hes playing, will get him really sick of the game fast. So that's probably why I've never played one of these guys. They probably don't play very many games before getting sick of it.
Anyway, being laser general, this is what I'd do... With my spy satellite might see him send his dozers, but that's not likely. If you don't sell you command center, then you'd see him building the war factories right off. I usually build humvees with missile defenders & rangers in them. But he'd probably take them out pretty quick. So I'd try to use missile defenders to take out any oncoming vehicles & use medics to run over the infantry. (Medic have the same health as humvees, but their more resistant to enemy fire for some reason.) medics don't have a gun on them but their cheaper & run over infantry affective.
This it partially what I'd do but I'd never know exactly what would happen unit it happens to me.

1) It's up to you. Do you want the ability to expand your supply lines or would you rather have radar and intel? Don't be afraid for your dozers, Infantry's army is for the most part very slow, and you could always hide the dozer in a nook to keep it safe.
2) If you see him make an airfield, start with an airfield to counter his lix. If he doesn't, then make a war factory first and get a strategy center. Either way, you want flashvees and possibly avengers ASAP.

Get a WF and barracks first, follow very quickly with an AF. You can get an AF first if you want, but it might be a little bit riskier.

Well the Intel + Radar can be of great use. It will slow down your first vee(s) but you can see what your enemy is planning, and you don't have to worry about loosing your dozers. It depends how confident you are without radar.

No. You don't need that amount of intel early against Inf and your dozers are not seriously threatened. Sell the CC everytime.

I would sell CC as any other USA, but I'm over here going single supply to rockvees and fast-teching as long as I don't spot an inf airfield, in which case I might sell to get a KR up before he gets a lix. I suppose if you're going dual supply, it's definitely smartest to sell.
Has anyone tried MD drops early on against infantry general? Is this recommended.
Which of the following is best build order
1)2 supplies sell CC 1 WF and barracks
2)2 supplies sell CC 1 AF barracks
3)1 supply sell CC WF barracks and quick strategy centre

ya 2 is good. sometime i build 1 firebase at flank because i suck with map awareness
