View Full Version : Lion's Daily Blurb - Tues., Wed., Sept. 4-5
The last of the BIG THREE summer holidays has come and gone, and I'm looking forward to my fav time of year, autumn. Mornings are starting to turn cooler, and the high humidity we've had the past several weeks is gone. Makes working outside much more bearable now. I was shopping at my local Wal-Mart store on Monday, and they have Halloween candy out already. Guess they want to get a jump start on fall. Anyhoot, when the leaves in my neck of the woods starts turning colors, I'll be sure and post up some pictures. I'm surrounded by a mountain and lots of trees, so I have plenty of opportunity to enjoy what nature has to offer during the fall season.

Yeah that's my favorite time of the year too. I go for long walks everyday, and even though the landscape is preparing for it's long winter sleep the feeling of fresh crisp autumn air is energizing.

I like fall time as well, but my all time fav is another season away. I wish it would cool down here though lol, still in the frequent 100 degree weather. :p
Can't wait to see the pics, your setting sounds beautiful.

Tis my favorite time of year too! The days get shorter and the air turns a little crisper. (less smog) Although this weekend it was 100 degrees everyday. It reminded me of the time that LION said it was so hot the road was melting and the cats were sticking to the road. I guess out here the blacktop is able to with stand the higher temps because no one, not even the cats were getting stuck on the road.
In a couple of weeks hopefully it will start to cool down. :looklive: I wish I was in New England when everything starts to change colors.

The reason my road melts is because they use that cheap tar n stone chips on the road. About every three years or so they resurface the road with it. At 90 degrees or above it starts to melt and gets real sticky. It sticks to the tires on my truck...and like I said, to the poor cat's paws. Happens every summer.
fall aint my favourite season but i like it still, cause i dont sweat like a pig when i m in bed like during summer :D so when i wake up its perfectly tempered and warm and not sweaty like hell :D so i have the slow morning feel i wanna stay in bed its so nice and warm now a days.. :) but i got my dutys even if they usually start late on the day but preparations is important. ;)
btw i recently discovered that a little bit of drinking is even better when you have worked that when you had several days of not working :D
somehow my tired back embraces alcohol better when tired than when not tired :p yeah autumn or late summer night air is just super refreshing :)
i work indoors but my job is still pulling my back and nerves alot so cold air feels good after work! :) today was rainy and thunder but i feelt both bored , slow and very happy that was a weird feelings at same time :wtf:

Some things r just odd.. I have actually noticed that my street is one of the only streets that have gotten a nice paved road within it... mainly because it has the school on the street, and gets over 75% of the traffic.. but it makes bike rides on it more fun, but not switching the track :dead:

Why can't the ice cream truck get stuck? :hyper: It probably holds up better during the snowy season though. Our blacktop because is so hard it would probably crack apart if it had to endure your type of winter. :thought:
