Pop-ups? I haven't seen any pop-ups, of course I do have a pop-up blocker...I don't know, I would hope the DGNF wouldn't use popups for revenue.
EDIT: Woah, I was just reading the time travelling thread, and it happens again! I posted after Avapod.

There shouldn't be any pop-ups...

Ok, sorry, they technically aren't pop-ups because they don't pop-up a new window. I mean the advertisements that have started to appear in the same window every so often and after a few seconds you can click "skip ad" and it'll take you to the thread/forum you wanted to go to.

Only websites that have ever done that to me are ones I visit, but arent logged in to. Im thinking if you check "remember me" when you log in and dont log out when you leave the site, you wont get the ads.

Sounds like the kind of ads IGN uses to me. But I've not had those either, so I'ld go with IK's theory that you need to stay logged in.

I don't log out, and it does remember me.

They are called Intersitial ads. They're quite annoying.
And since when did Lion (or Moo) start putting ads on DGNF? I've noticed the banners on the bottom, which is perfectly fine by me.

Yeah, same here. It's really starting to piss me off. The banners on the bottom are fine by me, 'cause I rarely scroll all the way down there. :p

Please don't tell me these annoying advertisements are here for good. They're annoying, plus there's no point having them. Why are they there?

I'm sure these adds are for revenue. I'm sure the company of the add is paying Den to have these adds pop up in the window. I understand why these adds are here, but I know this guy who hosts a website & he puts google adds on his web page. He makes enough money to pay for hosting the site & his time! Just from those little google adds!

Really I would care less if it wasn't that LG ad, maybe Lion should have a poll to decide what the most awaited game on the forum is, the put those ad's in.

Google ads don't bug me, so then maybe the Den should have those little things, instead of that goddamn LG one. :irked:

Let me know if you still get these full page ads that you are talking about. I think I blocked that type of ad.

And another thing: why is it that every now and then the DEN all of a sudden becomes unavailable for accessing for no apparent reason? I know this problem was addressed a while ago, but it's still happening rather frequently with me. Or is it my side that's having the problem only?:\

Your side.
On a related note, I've recently installed an auto-backup hack which brings the forums down every night for a few minutes to do a backup of the data.
Or it could be this.

I just got an actual pop-up instead of a full-pager. I'm going to run Avast when I go to sleep tonight to see if it's my end...

Well, I just altered some security settings on my browser to block content from the sites that those ads link to, and the ads disappeared.
