I know I very rarely come on the forums but I really need some help. If you want to flame me then pm me at will. Anyways I can't log on to generals online. Every time I try i get this message "Unable to connect to Generals Online". I have tried disabling my firewall etc. but it still does not work. Any help would be appreciated.
:flamed:
Thanks

Just because he can't log on, doesn't mean that the servers are down. I once couldn't log onto generals because I had a weak connection on a sallight line.

How fast is your connection, Sniper007?

i can't login on Zero Hour online.. with a 7-12MB connection... tried to download updates.. say that there is no such file found.. so personally i think the servers are down for generals and zero hour.

Try these;
http://www.cnc-source.com/index.php?page=main/techsupport/dmz
http://www.cnc-source.com/index.php?page=main/techsupport/routerhelp

And check PortForward (http://www.portforward.com) for all needed ports.

Sometimes u need to specifically change your IP in the options section (sometimes it shows your LAN IP instead of the online one). Then "refresh nat" and try again, once or twice then. Hope it solves.;)

Sounds like a problem my Dad has, whenever he tries to get online with the first decade it says registry error. Would it be the same source of problem?

Ok I might have a solution for some or just a bug for me. (this will only work for First Decade users, maybe this bug can still happen otherwise :hmm:) for some reason when I had RA2+Yuri's Revenge installed it kept me from connecting on Zero Hour, so I simply moved the RA2 folder along with some other First Decade folders, uninstalled+deleted all remaining First Decade folders then reinstalled. don't know if this will be any help but oh well.

This popped up awhile after I posted, when ever I couldn't connect for long times I always had RA2+yuri's revenge installed(with The First Decade and even when I had Generals Zero hour and RA2 on separate disks), possibly some sort of bug?

My problem is with both Generals and ZH. It wont help anyways because my video card went out and until I can get a better one I am stuck with my older one.

Thanks for the help anyways. If anybody here has xfire add me. My name is 1shotstryker.
