View Full Version : FinalAlert 2:YR units/terrain error

I am trying to use the new FinalAlert 2:YR version but once i open a new map the screen is black where the grass should be. when i go to insert a unit/building or anything everything is black with a slight white outline. why cant i see any units/buildings/terrain? how do i fix this? on the FinalAlert2 log it said something about not being able to locate all the expandmdXX.mix files accept expandmd01.mix is this the problem? if so how do i get the files back in my directory? i cant find the finalalert2 log anymore to post exactly what it says unfortunately but can any1 help? would be greatly appreciated! :(

Reinstall your games and the editor. You may have a mod laying about that's interfering.

Take out the mod first, if you have one, if not, then try reinstalling. If it's a MIX file that's missing, then a reinstall will fix it.

I just completely reinstalled RA2 and YR and then reinstalled FINALALERT2 and i am still getting the same error. i do not have any mods either. i have windows vista could this be a factor? below is a screen shot, the left white things are walls and on the right are apocolypse tanks, see how faint it appears? i cant make a map like this.. please some1 help!!! mayb an older version will work? or special vista version?? links???
