That same thing once happened to my Dad.....my cousin dumped a 22LR into the ground right in front of my Dad, he was so drunk at the time I had to tell him what just happened, though.

Well my dad drilled that into me so hard. Luckily I never had that happen to me and I have never seen it happen near me. Remember, the gun is always loaded and the safety is a mechanical device that can and will fail.
