Lion's Daily Blurb - Wed., Thurs., Sept. 12-13

Has anyone ever gone to bed and dreamed about perhaps a PC game you were playing? I've done it a few times in the past, and it can be down right exhaustive if it's one of them all-nighters. For instance, for the past week or so I've been playing the demo of The Settlers 6, a sort of RTS medieval feed the peeps management game that CAN be addictive if your not careful. So the other night I'm dreaming about building Hunter's Huts and Grain Farms to supply Butcher shops and Bakeries so I can make enough sausages and loaves of bread to satisfy the appetite of the peeps in my small city, of which I've been charged with it's care. During this dream I kept hearing..."I'm Hungry". Towards the end of the dream, one of the 'hungry' inhabitants got angry and threw rocks at me. Whilst running away I slipped and fell into a ditch. How did I know it was the end of the dream? Well, I'll tell ya how. I woke up and realized I had just fallen out of bed, and my head hurt a tad from hitting the bedside dresser on the way down. Talk about a realistic dream...WOW! THAT is enough Settlers for me for a while, and they can find someone else to feed em whilst I recuperate. :gnarly:

Yeas, once when I stayed up late with my pal playing GoW and Resistance, I had a dream that the Chimera's for Resistance where turning me into one o'them locusts for GoW in their tanks. I also dream I'm posting on forums.

The only thing I can interpret out of this dream was that you were afraid of failure, particularly because you wanted to gain prestige with your brother by proving worthy at the game. And I'm going to assume that you usually failed to do so at times, right?

Nah, more along the lines of his brother and him being in an epic contest to display their love for their mother (Oedipus Complex yo) while structuring a good plan to do away with their father, thus limiting the competition to the brothers. Also it is possible that his development was halted during his phallic stage of pscyhoanalytic development.

Nothing like falling out of bed to bring you back into reality.:hyper: Yeah I have dreamed of all games "Panzer General". I used to stay up all night playing that game. It was turn based so sometimes I would dream about my next move, and countering their move. I had to give the CD to my wife and told her not to give it back to me for a while.

Whenever I dream in a game, I always end up with some really screwed up controls, or have the ability to run and jump very fast, albeit with some really messed up motor coordination (i.e., I can't move diagonally, sometimes I'm inverted, my jumps are uncontrollably high, etc).

I've had dreams involving RA2 several times. Nobody ever wins, we just go back and forth and I'm not really moving a mouse I'm just thinking everything and my units just do whatever I want them.

Good point, it the same with me. Its almost as if it voice activated but it is really just thinking it and they move. No mouse or keys to mess with.

lol :D reminds me i had dreams of lots of games, like red alert , red alert 2, tiberian sun, zero hour, fear, c-s, operation flashpoint. Most of the games that i have spent crazy ,amu hours in, worst was when i had resident evil dreams, dreamt my family had turned into zombies and i was trying to keep my door closed :P or also a classic that i haven't had for a long time but i had it alot when i was younger was the rock chasing me through a canyon ala indiana jones style :D

Yeah that's happened to me before with medieval II Total War I was trying to decide which region to attack.

Dreams of game? nope, never happened, well... maybe ra.. II... but Im not sure about that...ther was one time it looked like jewel shaped space ships were in the sky, but that was a dream, a wierd dream...
