well likely due to a suicide Trojan Horse bomb, alot of my registry files are messed up, so i can't use windows installer, play music, cause it says that "my sound card is currently being used" even after several restarts, on top of that, my help and support program is disabled amongst a bunch of other things, is it that I need to re-install or do I use some Application to fix the 1,300+ screwed up registry files that need serious fixing?

If you can still install programs try installing a Registry scanning program.
This one is free http://www.registryfix.com/, although there many others out there. If that doesn't work reinstalling the effected programs would be the only way to restore the registry values to their correct value. (This would mean reinstalling Windows if it is one of the things effected.)

well I've used that before though the free version only does 50 fixes while I'd actually have to buy it to do a full system fix-up

How badly do you need a fix and do you use Torrents?

not really frequently, though apparently I probably got it from trying to download some obscure anime episodes off the internet instead of using veoh :tantrum:
as i said, I have over 1,300 registry files that need fixing

Try Reg Supreme. The download is fully functional for a limited time.

well thankfully due to a little patience and your help, along with some less than drastic measures, I have managed to get my computer back into working order WITHOUT doing a complete re-install. except...the sound still doesn't work, perhaps it's time for me to get a new sound card for my system, do you guys have any suggestions?
nevermind, thanks to alot of help from a bunch of internet help forums and a little tweaking around, I managed to get my audio running properly again
