I managed to get a lovely screen burn yesterday by leaving my screen locked on world builder for three hours and it made 2 impressions of tiberium fields. Firstly, yes, I realise that I'm an idiot and should have a screen saver or should have turned off my screen, but I didn't think I'd be away for three hours.

I tried running JScreenFix (http://www.jscreenfix.com/basic.php) last night for 12 hours, that got rid of my big nasty burns, but it's left me with a criss-cross pattern all over the screen. I was wondering if theres a way to get rid of that quickly? (rather annoying on light backgrounds). If not, then about how long would it take to fade through normal use of my PC?

An LCD can't "burn in," but can occasionally get image persistence. The best method I've seen to try is to create a perfect white image (in paint, or whatever) and put it as your screen saver, and let it run for 15-30 mins.
