I tried there but it didn't really turn up anything x.X Stuff about the 8600M GS, 8400M GS, 8700M GT, thats about it. Technical Specs, Performance.. but nothing solid i can go on by graphic drivers.

Funny thing...you can find the 8600M GS driver for Linux on NVIDIA's site but not the one for XP.

Yep thats the place to go. I have the latest drivers with my 8600m GT, i think theyre 163 or 165 something. Anyways all i had to do was put the modded "INF" file into the unzipped drivers folder and there ya go.

Nvidia left it up to the laptop manufacturers to supply drivers for their mobile line. But because of the unified shader architecture present in the 8xxx series line, any driver that works with a desktop 8xxx card should work with a mobile card, all that is needed is a modded INF so that the driver will actually install in the first place without giving a "Card not supported" message at the start of the installation.
So either get the latest ones you can, or check out the manufacturers site for drivers.
