Missing sides in Tiberian Sun

When I play Tiberian Sun(or Firestorm) I don't see any sides called "Nod" or "GDI" for some odd reason, why is that?

Umm, I don't know where the screenshot goes, I click wither F12 or PrintScrn
SysRq but I don't know where the screenshot goes, I look in the Folder in the game I take a shot of, and its not there...

Print screen button, then load up paint and press ctrl+v, save, upload to www.imageshack.us or another image hosting site, and then give us the linky here :)

Actually, I've had that problem before. It was when I had a mod called "Tiberian Sun Gold" installed and tried to modify it, and I somehow screwed something up, because when I would go to play a skirmish game, I couldn't select a side from the drop down menu (because they weren't there) and thus could not play. The only solution I can think of is first to uninstall any mods you have applied to it, and if that doesn't work, reinstall Tiberian Sun.

I'd love to apply some mods to it, but I don't know where any are...

I've already tried uninstalling, then reinstalling(twice)

I don't have any Rules.ini to mess with so thank god.

and it keeps giving me this old Error to visit Westwood.com cause my game has experienced an internal error, for patches and suggestions.

not even Campaign will work, I can only load the game screen.

well I couldn't tell you exactly what's wrong..
If you're using no mods, no cracks.. If you're running Vista, I've heard TS has some trouble with that..

If I were to make a guess, I'd say it's not reading any of the game's ini files.
The faction list is directly read from rules.ini, and it would probably show up blank like that if it was read improperly.

Perhaps if you put in TS's ini files it'll work? (crosses fingers)
Click HERE (http://www.tiberiumweb.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=4950) to download them, and extract all the files into your directory.

If it's still crashing, upload your except.txt and we'll have a look at it

I'd also post this on the EA support forums.. maybe it'll help them get off their rear ends and get a patch out for TS/TFD

Odd... Try screwing with compatability settings and turning off advanced visual themes. Just right click properties and go to the compatability tab.

I haven't really bothered with Campaign, but I did try it, and it also worked, Skirmish is mroe fun, I wonder if any of you guys are up for a game at Gamespy? I mean since I can't register with WOL anymore...

If you have a valid copy of TS, you should be able to register.

You just have to keep trying. Even if it says it failed, do it again.
If you play around with it enough, eventually it'll get you registered & online in xwis.

(Just another reason for EA to patch this game :rolleyes: )

Oh wait, never mind it's not on the net anymore ugh, ok i'll find a way to get it back up, it was great, just need a bit tweaks to fix gameplay buuuut it was really good. IMHO.
