Any tips?

Ok, as most of you know I'm pretty much a noob at modding, anyhow I want to start modding and get my peice of the pie, anyhow I want know the basic stuff first (Like unit .ini editing and making structures) before I get into total conversions.

So like

I want to supe up some units stats so how would I do that?

I want to make some new structures so how would I do that?
