How well does it run?
I'm looking at upgrading with essentially the same stuff except I'm going to get the 2.33Ghz version of the processor

I'm getting a new laptoppy sometime next week. :hyper:
Its a Lenovo Think-Pad, teh spexxorz:
2.0Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
256MB nVidia Quadro FX 570M
80GB HDD
Not the fastest lappy in the world, but when you've been living with a 1.3Ghz Celeron, Intel GMA, 40GB, you'll take anything. :D

Nice PC there starscream. I'm due for an upgrade on my gaming and work PCs in my home office. The two PCs I use in my shop are upgraded every two years or so. I use them and my laptop for testing customer hardware and for databank puposes only.
Tomahawk that nVidia Quadro FX 570M is primarily used for graphic designers and architects. It's not as fast as some gaming graphic chips, Graphic Memory Bandwidth runs at 12.8GB/sec, while the desktop 8600GT runs at 22.4GB/sec. The FX 570M is more the equivalent of the desktop 8500GT.

If I use the professional Quadro drivers, when I put the consumer GeForce drivers on it, I'll have an 8600M GT. Actually, according to this bench-mark, I'll have a wee bit more. :D

Of course thats the mobile version, the desktop version probably has a little more muscle, since it doesn't have the size, heat, and power constraints that the laptop ones do.
