I don't know why, but none of my "legal" music will play in Winamp anymore, yet it continues to play in Windows Media Player. I don't really know why, and I'm very surprised that my "legal" music would work in WMP. And no, I don't want to use iTunes.

I get the message that Winamp doesn't have the right privileges or level to play the songs.

Any ideas?

If you dont have Verson 5.5 get it. If you do have 5.5 than uninstall it, install the VLC player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Then reinstall WinAmp 5.5 http://www.winamp.com/player after VLC.

Ah thank you very much. May I ask what that did?

Just a guess but i imagine it installed some codec that your legal music needed to play, either that or it was DRM related, as legal music can come with DRM.
