I'd just like to say "Happy Thanksgiving" to those of us that celebrate it.

Hmm.

Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate.

I'm a bit jaded when it comes to this holiday in particular though.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here!

For this Thanksgiving we are hosting a couple from Ghana, Africa. They will be staying with us for a month. It is the least we can do for those who are less fortunate.

Can I ask why Collin? I find Turkey Day to be perhaps the most unadulterated holiday out there! If you want a day to sit back and enjoy yourself without a lot of commercialism, hype, or sticky religious issues, this is it! Do you mean to say you're just kind of bored of it?

Anywho, the family and I are off to grandmother's house tomorrow. Of course, with my brother normally living at his apartment, and me away at school full time, my dad is making sure all of our free time at home is spent occupied with yard work o.0

He's probablly all up in arms over a holiday based around glottony, while the rest of the world starves, and that celebrates the inevitable rape of the Native Americans.

All I can say, his loss.

Not really all up in arms. Actually, pretty much nothing you said explains as to why I changed my opinion on the holiday.

I still like it, and still eat a ****ton of food, but feel that people should at least think of it as more than a "Yeah FOOOOOD!" kinda dealio. At least that's the feeling I get around these parts, not to generalize I guess? :p
