Agreed!
As for Nokia: Quality? You've got to be joking :p I've had Nokia phones for years, and they've always been horrible. Now I've switched to SonyEricson, and I don't see how people can possibly ever buy a Nokia, at least if they know the alternative...

I'm undecided, mainly because I don't tend to purchase their devices enough to know of a real difference of quality.

I just dont get it why people voted for Creative when their sound system sucks compared to Apple's and Sony's.
Those earphones bundled up with their mp3s are crap 1 USD earphones.

I voted Apple just because most of their stuff is of great quality. Sony and LG are pretty good companies also.

I voted LG. I've had the same LG cellphone for two years and the only time I had to replace it was because I was talking on it one day out on location and I drowned it in sweat :wtf:
Also, every country I've ever been to if you were to throw a stick it would hit an even dozen objects with LG stamped on them. I figure they gotta be do'in something right.
Acer is a friggin paper weight.
I would'a voted HP if it was there, I've bought HP laptops for as long as I can remember.

oh man, yea forgotten about HP. HP is worth placing on the vote. Heard about that Dragon Laptop they've just came out with? It's extremely large for a laptop don't u think? But the specs aren't that bad.
What else am i missing on the list?
- HP
- Samsung
- Cowon
- Altec Lansing
- ATI
- Nvidia
- Razer
- Shure
- Griffin
Think that's about it.

Apple's currently on the lead.
I suggest everyone should start voting and giving valid reasons why they pick their choice.
Let me begin:
I chose Apple simply because their products are:
- Stylish
- Has good sound quality
- In the computer industry for many years, therefore more experience
- Innovative ideas (unlike some companies which keep copying other people's products and ideas)
- Never fail to impress its customers (i have no problems when facing it)

Well like I said, they're decent. They make some pretty good tv's but the rest of what they make is all right.

You really don't find many normal consumers with an IBM thinkpad or anything like that, though IBM is one of the best brands you can buy. Only problem is they're expensive as hell.

I'd have to say Microsoft. I don't buy too many products from the listed and unlisted companies, nor do I even see very many of them, but Microsoft's so far had the best things I've bought.
For instance, stepping up from an N64 without any memory packs to an Xbox with a hard drive...God damn, I was happy. No more having to leave the thing on overnight just to keep my spot or relying on faulty cartridge memory. :dead:

Really the topic was to broad to make it into a poll anyways. It should have been just a normal thread and you post what you use and/or like. Besides, to make it a decent poll, the selection would be ungodly long.

Man Dies After Exploding Cell Phone Found Burned Into His Chest
Thursday November 29, 2007
CityNews.ca Staff
A bizarre accident has left local officials questioning the safety of some cell phones, after a South Korean man died when his mobile device exploded without warning in North Chungcheong Province (http://www.lifeinkorea.com/Travel2/nchungchong), about 100 kilometres southeast of Seoul on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old was working in a stone quarry when colleagues came across his body. He was suffering from burns to his chest, a fractured rib and internal bleeding and was pronounced dead in hospital. Doctors immediately began searching for the cause of the trauma and quickly discovered the evidence. His exploded cell phone (top left) had burned itself into the victim's torso and was still there when physicians examined him.
"When he was admitted into the emergency room, the melted mobile phone was stuck to the left side of his shirt," explains Kim Hoon of Chungbuk National University Hospital. "I cannot think of any other cause of his death other than his mobile phone exploding."
Officials believe a faulty battery may be to blame for the incident but can't account for exactly why it exploded. Kwon Young-sup was the first person to find the victim. "He was lying on the ground and his mobile phone was still burning so I had to put the fire out," he told a local TV network.
So do you have to worry about your own handset? Likely not. Manufacturer LG confirms the kind of phone and battery the man was using is sold only in South Korea. They're investigating what happened.

Lol! A friend was looking at a related new article earlier today. I don't have the link, but the article went something like:
"South Koreans say that man thought to be killed by exploding cell phone was actually crushed by quarry vehicle"
So the actual lesson here is pay attention when on your cellphone, so you don't get run over by quarry vehicles! A classic case of correlation versus causation.

Nah - nothing wrong with making a poll about which one you like best out of a certain selected few...
