Tomorrow, well no- today, I will be turning my modem in. This means that unless I can find some wireless to leach I will be without millions of internets until I come home. Thats right folks, frigging home, back in the good old United Motherfragging States. Thats not too far off either, I fly next Wednesday. Inchon to Tokyo, Tokyo to Detroit, Detroit to Portland. I can't wait. I turn all my gear in today too, every last bit. Thursday the movers come and take all my crap. From that point on I will alternate between boredom and inebriation until I get on that bus to the airport.

Just to throw it out there, I also haven't slept tonight. It's 0330 and I'm all hyped up on caffeine. 0600 formation, I show up and then go home. 1000 appointment with CIF to turn my battle rattle in. Got to clear the Motor Pool, SSRT (internet), and Supply. Once that is done all I have to do is clear Battalion and Brigade. I'll be done by Friday. Saturday the bar I frequent is throwing me a going away party. I've got a ton of junk I'm trying to sell, and I need to buy two new uniforms before I leave.

One damned week and I'm home, one damned week.

I love it.

That plane ride is going to suck though, so is going a week without millions of internets or my Vonage line.

God I love coffee.

I'll admit it though, I am going to miss Korea. If I wasn't getting married I'd even offer to stay. I mean I don't always like the unit, and I hate being a mechanic, but my CO and Top are cool bastards. I love them both. I love the food, and most of the people are awesome too. I really would like the chance to come back here again, preferably with a different job and a little more rank on my chest.

Anyhow, I love you guys. :o

You're coming back stateside? That's awesome. Always nice to be back home, especially after being away for a long time.

Caffeine is my hero. I used to have around 9 or so coffees plus a three or four red bull a day when I was hooked. I barely have it anymore but it gives me a bit more of a kick when I have it now. I s'pose you wouldn't want to stop by Australia on the way home to chill with young alex for a couple of days, would you? Have a blast at the pubs and have a safe trip.
