I thought that this was kinda interesting. Apparently Google is going to be in the bid for the C-Block of the airwaves which is part of the 700 MHz band wireless spectrum. Wonder what they plan on using it for if they win the bid.

Oh I don't know, I don't suppose this has anything to do with it:
Google hopes that the new network capacity will allow it to compete directly with existing mobile communications companies.

Yeah, Google announced a while back that they were launching an operation for the "gPhone." :p

Google made a deal with the FCC that they would bid at least certain amounts of money if the FCC required certain rules for the airwaves. Since the FCC made good on some of those rules, its no surprise Google is bidding.

I didn't even know that Google was going to come out with a phone of their own. Of course that just shows how little I care.
