Hey guys,

I was wondering how to make an elevated area. Here's an example of what I'm looking for:

This is going to be my fourth map, so I think I know the gist of map making and scripting. But any good tips would be helpful.

BTW, I already know how to make a ramp, I don't know why the heck I circled that

I'm confused, you want to know how to elavate the terrain, but then how did the terrain in that map get elevated? Is this a map you got from the internet?

Never the less, you just use the Height Brush & Mound tools. If you need more help, check out the video tut over at cncmaps.com, http://www.cncmaps.com/mapmakingvideo.html

Sorry I should have specified myself. I downloaded this map yesterday, and thats where I got my sketch idea from.

I've already seen all the map making video's, but none of them is what I'm looking for.

So do you just change the settings of the height tool and go from there???

I thought there was something I was missing. How do they get the angle just right? And how can you make the area all the same height?

If the post is hard understand, sorry about that. I just don't know how to explain it :doped:

btw, thanks for a quick reply....

Okay, I think I understand now.

1) Click the Height Brush tool & change the Brush Height number to a number higher then it currently is.
2) Change the the Brush Feather Width to 0. (If the Brush Width is to small for you, than raise that number to.
3) Click the Lock Angle tool (It's directly to the right of the Height Brush tool.) When you click & hold the mouse using a tool, the Lock Angle tool will lock the angle your currently moving. (There are only 8 different angle to along.)

When you do this, you'll see a nice flat cliff from it.
