Did anyone else watch the Sci Fi Miniseries Tin Man? Its a modern version of the Wizard of Oz. It was very very good. The characters were fleshed out, the actors were great, the cg was gorgous. There were a couple of known actors in it like Alan Cummings played Glitch, he was Boris in Goldeneye, and Kurt Wagner in X2. Neal Mcdonough who played the Tin Man was Buck Compton in Band of Brothers, and one of the police guys in Minority Report. The the chick that played the Sorcress was hot.

If you missed it I think they are replaying the whole thing on sunday.

Yeah, I watched the first episode, but it started to get too cliche and boring about two thirds through. Didn't really care to keep watching it afterwards.

i agree with sgtricko, it was cliche and boring. though i do enjoy the acting of alan cummings and i thought the girl who played dorothy, or whatever her name was in this version was cute, she was hotter than the sorcress if you ask me. looks a little like lucy lawless/xena i think.

on another topic, that movie "the golden compass" looks like utter ****.
