I know you guys get this a lot, but I can't seem to play online games (ZH) with this new PC I got. I've been playing on my fairly new laptop (2005), but it lags big time for some odd reason. Everyone thinks I'm a total retard for playing online games with it :gnarly: So anyways, I'm thinking it's the firewall that won't let me in. I've tried overriding the port numbers but nothing seems to help. I disables my anti virus system (mcafee), and I got on to my account, but when I start a game is say "unable to connect to players". I've tried going to technical support, but their all nuts :nuts:

So any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: Is there a way to where I could play online with my laptop without it lagging as much?

:rockbrow:I see you have Vista....how much RAM is fitted?

For some reason, a lot of people think that Vista on Laptops slows it down , so have gone back to using Win XP

I believe the RAM is 2039 MB.

So if I switch back to XP will it work better? I really want to play online.




EDIT* I just tried to play a game online (with the laptop), now I can't even play a game. I keep getting disconnected. Once the game loads its all frozen. I don't know whats up with ZH online.

It looks like you should be able to play. You might what to check to see if ZH has an exception for it in the windows firewall as the reason for the online problem may be that the game is being blocked by the firewall

I found out what the problem was. It was the mcafee virus protection software. It was blocking the IRC connection.
