Hi all.
Since it's not easy to find servers with no rules and no whiners these days, I play a lot of Compstomp with random people online. I would be interested to play against most of you veterans, but I'd get slaughtered in no time :D
So anyways, what are amusing strategies you people use against AI's except bunkering in and building 158 SStorms/Nukes/PCannons?
Me being a great GLA fan I learned a lot from other GLA players in compstomp games... like relying on Tunnels and stinger sites more than on my palace to protect myself. I also learned that spreading your base and map control is something quite useful against AI's too if you have a strong economy (2 supply zones and a derrick). Also, harassing seems to be pretty fun against AI's even if it's easier than harassing humans.
Playing against AI's is way more fun if you don't just bunker in and build SW. I mostly build just one Scud Storm to eliminate enemy SW (one toxin Scud Storm is enough to destroy a superweapon in one strike if you give the anthrax gamma like 30 seconds to burn through the last little remains of the health bar)
So what do you do against AI's? What tactics do you like to use, even if they're far from being as challenging as tactics against humans? And which combination of AI generals do you find hardest to beat?

Personally I like to arrange groups of gunships (particularly Granger's stealth Commanches) to go around and harass the comp's openings. Works pretty good too!

Same, I also like to use auroras or raptors when playing as air force general and send the planes on guard stance at random areas of the map, when they run out of ammo, they RTB and then ecit the base to guard that area again. Makes for a pretty decent land and air cover, mostly to lighten up the incoming force.

I like to be USA in comp stomp games because you get those paladins! With that laser shooting infantry & missiles, they're pretty hard to destroy unless they use Comanches. I usually mix in a few avengers into this army. I also use some rangers with flash bangs until I can get snipers too. Reinforcing the army as I attack, my army is like an avalanche sweeping away the computer players! Usually when I play comp stomps, the host select $50,000. With this much start money, I build two war factories & a barracks & go out to the map to start collecting additional supplies.

I try to spread tunnels all over the map and secure at least one other supply zone and is possible a few derricks/refineries too.
Once I have a good grasp on the map, I start rebuilding my CC since I sell it at game start.
As soon as my palace is up, I build a bus or two and I try to make a Scud Storm asap to counter enemy SW. I keep the buses in my tunnels for in case I need them in my defense. Once my economy is steady, I make Rocket Buggies and I start hit&running the enemy with them and sneak attacks untill he's ruined because I deny him the supplies.
Gammabuses are really powerful to quickly drive in a base, do some damage and get out again quickly.
