I want to know what you should be doing with the 10k at the start of the game so I can get a decent attack force.
any tactics as toxin general will be espacially appreciated as he is my fave

I'm a Toxin player myself and to my modest opinion you could try this strategy. I'm not giving you a specific BO since I'm not experienced enough myself, but it should give you an idea:
-Train 3 more workers
-Build a barracks
-Once all 3 workers are trained, sell your CC
-Build 2 Supply Stashes at a different supply dock each
-Build your Arms Dealer
-Train 4 or 5 terrorists while building a technical
-Techterror your enemy as soon as your technical is filled up with the terrorists. I like to target the supply buildings and if you can, use one terrorist on one of his dozers
- Build a bunch of scorpion tanks and quads and take the capture building upgrade if there are derricks you can capture.
How you play from here is up to you, you should have a more or less steady cash flow now. I mostly start spreading tunnels like crazy and harass my opponents with scorpion and quad stings or more TechTerror or TechRPG. Once you tech up (palace) you're probably gonna build more buggies and gammabuses instead of scorpions though.
Only rebuild your CC when you have the general stars that are deployed from it (Anthrax Bomb, Rebel Ambush, Sneak Attack)
Just remember that I'm new to gaming this game online... so I play against people of my level (noobs). My strategy might be worthless against an experienced player.

I'm a noob too, but I make it into a clan for 'attacking relentlessly' as stealth general vs some other guy as a trial as tank general, I won in the end, I had hijackers stalking his base, so as soon as he built an emperor, i stole it and put a gattling cannon on it, st which point he called me a ' sneaky little ****'
then called me a 'persistant bastard' when i stole his only dozer and destroyed his command centre with a heroic emperor unit. i also stole his 2 battle masters as soon as i stole the emperor. and i hardly developed any of my base...
thanx for the tactics, I'll try it on medium mode on challenge series too.

Just so nobody has to retype the whole 10 k start strategy, just do a search and go under "10 k start???". Or just go under toxin replays, they're is some good tips there.

Just some helpful advise. Forget the challenge, and play online, if your playing with a new strategy. The challenges will teach you NOTHING!

For any GLA (or even china), you'll want to box in your workers in, so it won't be as easy for you opponent to ram into your workers. I usually build a barracks and armsdealer around my supply stash, to form a decent box. I also usually make four workers from my CC before I sell. The extra worker I send out to build tunnels on his flanks. This will allow you to harass his supplies a lot faster, or go BD hunting.
I never really build scorpion tanks for some reason. I geuss I find them to weak without the scorpion rocket, and I never really get that upgrade......
but thats just the main gist of GLA, like I said, just do a search and look for some good GLA strats....

Boxing in supplies isn't nearly as common these days as it used to be. Back when I started playing, you always, always, boxed in your supplies. These days pros rarely do it against China, preferring to just make sure that nothing gets past their tunnels, and only sometimes against USA depending on how they're setting up their tunnels (Still almost always against GLA, because techs can be hard to stop early). Not boxing in your supplies allows you to make your base with less buildings or less restrictions on where you build things, which can be beneficial at times. Still, if you're new to GLA I would recommend always boxing in your supplies.
Actually its quite amazing how much this game continues to evolve. I've seen strategies come and go and return, and many of the conventions that I learned when I first started playing have been discarded over time.

that may be true, but it will help me in getting all the hounurs, i need to do everything on medium and hard mode. then I'm done

there's medals for online games aswell. There's a few in there that are harder medals to earn (if your trying to get all gold medals) online. I simply meant, was that if you want to move out of the noob stages, then you should play more online vs challenge....

Two medals I've never been able to get: Airwing Honor (I play GLA all the time...) and Apocalypse Medal. I'd really like to have the Apoc Medal... but I think it's really hard to get.

Apoc is easy: just enter a turtle game against a (somewhat) reliable noob player three times, each time with a different faction, and build a SW whether you win or lose. Done!;)

KR spam works out fairly well too, especially against tank or nuke newbs (seeing a row of battlemasters wipe themselves out due to the pre-isotope explosions is a beautiful thing, I tells you all...:happysad:)

Oh... my ...God... I actually thought you had to build all three superweapons in one game (by capturing enemy CC or Hijacking dozers)
I feel silly now :D

Remember to have seven workers per supply centre for maximum efficiency.

Even as a gla, it is possible to get your airwing honour. The key here is either good use of your hijackers or Jarmen Kel, and "adopt" a dozer. With that dozer, give it immediately the command to build a command center and even when it it would be raped, you can still build that foreign CC and thus get more dozers. Anyhow, then it's just a matter of teching up to airfields & produce aircrafts like like mad.
nyarlathotep already bumped this so...

Sending a row of battlemasters against an USAf deserves a noob badge.:D
