Here are the randomly seeded brackets for the tournament:

I do hope that everyone shows up, I hate having to give bys and rearranging brackets.
Remember:
Tournaments 1 lobby
3 PM US-EST, 1 hour 45 minutes from this posting!
When you finish your games, save your replays. If you lose, report your loss and post the replay here. If you win, stay in the lobby until you can talk to me.
As soon as both competitors for a round are online and have contacted me, you can set up the game and go. Once you're done the winner will wait for the next round, while the loser posts the replay. After you have been eliminated (and posted your replay) or the tournament is over, feel free to stick around for some FFGs.
Good luck and have fun all!

its pretty clear that i was beaten within the first few minutes, i think. bad build order/unit mix/everything doomed me.

Thanks Derek for hosting the tournament and all those who participated. Although in a C&C forum with over 500 active members a turn out of 8 is lackluster at best.

Kered13 (winner) vs. Yurihomer (http://www.commandandconquer.com/battle_cast/BattleCast.aspx?mid=8592527C-F15A-403D-A908-29EA839CE1F0)
And here is Yurihomer (winner) vs. Borgster (http://www.commandandconquer.com/battle_cast/BattleCast.aspx?mid=E8ED15F6-A6F5-4B9A-BF33-5BB12CD569DE) I grabbed from Battlecast because it hasn't been posted and I know Yurihomer didn't save it.
Here are the final results brackets:

Ok, replay pack is ready! I highly encourage you to watch some of the games and hopefully learn some from it. I don't have a lot of comments, but I will say that most of you deployed your surveyors way too close to the tiberium fields. They give a large build radius, so don't deploy them so close. This will allow them to deploy faster and you can get your expansion running sooner. Remember to sell them afterwards, you don't need that build space later.
The most entertaining game was Borgster vs. Yurihomer. Some comments on that: Yurihomer, your bike rush was good, but after the first one or two waves, start producing scorpians. Bikes are easily destroyed by seekers and disintegrators, you just want to slow him down and keep him busy with the bikes while you build up your scorpian army. Also, when you see he has a lot of disinitegrators, build some buggies. Buggies can easily take out disintegrators. Borgster, expand your economy faster. This doesn't necessarily require a base expansion, but at least more refs and harvs, and tech up sooner. You ultimately lost because Yurihomer out teched you. The ending was especially fun to watch, a perfect stalemate! I have never seen that before in a game (though I almost had one once). The only reason you (Borgster) lost was because you deployed your MCV, had you kept it in the air no one could have won! It would have been a true test of patience

Ya lol I deployed it infront of your army.
I hardly ever play 1v1 games and I screwed up right off the get go. Had the outpost out just a little 2late and i concentrated on the middle tiberian instead of the one closet to my base.
But as always I did not give up and I fighted to the bitter end.
Hats off Derek It takes alot to organize this stuff your efforts are also appreciated.
Merry Christmas to the Staff and awsome users/players and all my personal friends I made over the decade of C&C gaming. Good luck all

I don't think so. A lot of us are mainly here for RA2/YR or Gen/ZH and not TW. Then of those, you've got to find people who can set aside the better part of a day to play, right before Christmas.
Back in 2004 and 2005, IIRC, I tried to hold Red Alert 2 tournments here, and neither one of them ended up finishing, so be glad somebody here finally got a real tournament that worked. Wish you could watch replays on normal video players though.

Actually this is the third tournament I've done, Yurihomer did one too. All the previous ones were ZH though.

The next will probably be sometime around March or Aprial if I'm home for spring break. Otherwise I won't be able to do anything until the summer. Schools been a real bitch this year and I don't have the time to do tournaments just any weekend any more :\

Don't worry - if my current experience with college is an indication, you'll have plenty of time to do so between the easy workloads they give you and the personal schedule you get by picking your own classes (unless you decide to for the honor stuff or hit the hardest classes first, then it's a totally different story...:|)
