I dunno know if its my system or what but I've been getting some really weird thing going on. Just about ever thread I open I get this "Click to run an Active X control on this web page" message and its not just one message, sometimes 3 or 4 pop up and I dunno if this is related or not but more and more often I'll bring up the Den, select a thread to browse and its just DOA.....nothing works, no reply buttons no back buttons. I have to close out the entire page, go back to favorites and begin all over again.
I'm really getting ready to drop kick this desktop off the back of the patio.

Somebody please help before I do something I may or may not regret :(

Edit: The Den is the only website I'm having this problem.

Changing your web browser might do the trick (maybe try a different browser and use that for these forums, and your usual browser for everything else). Other than that, I don't know what to suggest. :happysad:

Could be a Program trying to access the page or a firewall? I wouldnt know why but it could be a possiblity.

Change the privacy settings on your web browser to block tribalfusion.net. I did that and all the ads disappeared for me.

I'm having a different problem here - about a third of the time I try to make a reply, it never loads the page, as if the website went down, then I won't be able to go back and/or reload ANY page from forums.cncden.com at all for awhile.

I have problems accessing the forums sometimes. I assume it's a server side issue with MySql as I have checked the forum scripting and nothing wrong there. It seems to be dropping connections for some reason. It happens with both of the DEN websites as well. It's not easy keeping the websites updated because in the middle of my work the websites go down for a few minutes at a time frequently throughout the day.

I don't have access to perform the maintainence/troubleshooting for the actual server the forums and DEN websites are on. But it's just as well because that is not my field of expertise.

Well I never have any problems whatsoever with these forums.

Derek knew how to get around the problem He had/has the exact same problem we do. The reason is Stats new noob filter, welcome to the club. Yes it is frustrating, its happened for months with me. Just close the browser and start a new instance, cut and paste if your making a post. Its a pain but it works. Changing your browser is an option too.

Lately I've been having this problem specifically with Internet Explorer on my laptop (which doesn't have Firefox installed and always accesses the Internet through Wireless LAN.) The DGNF starts working again only if I open it in a new window.

Meanwhile, I've had zero problems between the DGNF and my main desktop, which connects physically with my cable modem and is Firefox-exclusive. I'm not sure which of these elements is the crucial difference.

We have been working on trying to get this fixed. Let me know if it is still happening.

If it happens, try to get a screen shot or error number. Post the time it happens, your browser you use and version.

Thanks for your help.
