Actually, I think quite the opposite for rap.

Rock=Bad
Rap=Bad
Punk=Good

The chorus is awful in my opinion. Even for punk it'd be hard to listen to. I know for rap or rock I'd probably turn it off right there.

Maybe if I heard the music my mind would change a bit, but even then for rock or rap I'd probably give it a low grade....and I was never a fan of punk music. Although as I said for punk it'd be good.

the chorus is kinda... this is a pen and you-hoo, are a stabbable object yeah-ah. I dunno, hard to explain. Rock lyrics are good, depending on the rock. STTL (my band) are kinda post hardcore mixed with punk and emo... little bit of screamo in there too. :)

I love emo lyrics, alternative rock and punk lyrics in general, I hate the term 'rock' to describe a band, it's way too broad, so rock lyrics aren't any one thing. Stuff like Slipknot, Metallica and KoRn are generally crap for lyric, whereas Something Corporate, Jimmy Eat World and Finch (also 'rock' bands) have amazingly deep, cleverly written lyrics. And punk(also rock) lyrics are just fun, but usually cleverly written too.
