View Full Version : so hard to place a building!!

i play kane's wrath...

if you place a building on a very flat terrain, of course you can place anywhere you like. BUT, what if there is a little "up-and-down" on a terrain?:redface:

i got many experiences that i can hardly put a nod laser turret on a not so plat land when in a HOT BATTLE!! it may cost me more than 20 seconds on placing a building on such terrains!!!

this really drove me crazy sometimes:flame:, have you guys encountered such problems~:(

I've had an issue of this more with custom maps or placing larger structures like the GDI airfield down.

It's a pain but you've got to deal with it :/

Placing Nod defenses in the middle of a battle can be hard because once you have one piece down, a unit will move over it and you'll have to start over. Other buildings aren't so hard, you just have to learn where the "sweet spots" on hills are.

sweet spots... when in a hot battle, I even cannot see my troops and vehicles clearly, especially vs scrins, they used to come in hordes, moving here and there, I almost give up placing any turrets among them...:(

I've found it funny that RTS construction crews are capable of erecting large buildings right in the middle of battlefields in scarely more time than it takes to manufacture a single tank, yet they are incapable of building anything on ground that has a slight slope to it; apparently earth-movers, backhoes, and front-end-loaders don't exist in that universe.

Or more plausibly, lets not have more basecrawling than absolutely necessary. Seriously, it just kills the entire concept of risk/reward in expansion.
