I'm a first time player of Tiberium Wars and I have to admit that this game rocks!!! I'm not a pro yet so I decided to just stick with completing the GDI campaign. I didn't have a hard time with the first few missions, but that mission where you have to destroy the nuke plant of the Nod really gave me a hard time. It's probably the time limit, given that I take the time to fortify my defenses before I set out for attack.
So, how do you guys deal with this mission? Would you mind giving me some tips on how to complete this? I would deeply appreciate it if you would give me a hand. Until then, I'll be waiting for your reply. :)

Make an army instead of fortifying your defenses first. Defend your base with your army. Only tip I can give you, but I'm sure more experienced players will come along. ;)

Can you be more specific about the campaign mission? I'm not sure what Act you're even on!:looklive:

Rush to building Orcas.
Have them head west to the edge of the map, then north to the edge of the map. When the timer starts to run down, charge in and blow up one of the three power plants there. If you time it just right, you can call in an airstrike, and have the other Orcas draw fire from yours, but that is tricky. You will generally lose one or two Orcas.
When the Power plant is dead, have your Orcas head west again to the edge of the map, then due south and to your air pad.
This will buy you some time, though you will have to do it every few minutes, as Nod will rebuild the power plant. I generally end up doing it about five times, I think, before I have enough troops to have my Zone Troopers and a Commando jet pack over the wall and tear up enough defenses for my tanks to punch through.

What I did was built a lot of zone troopers and had them jump over the cliff. I was also building some preds as base defense but was mostly getting those zone troopers out. I destroyed most of the base before another unit type got past that ramp. (I jumped them directly north but there is an easier way in of you go directly east to the edge and then jump them north, I think.)

Hrmm.
I generally can't get enough Zone Troopers to fight past the Shredder Turrets.
And it can be fun to take a Surveyor and fortify the ramp with base defenses...or with tanks and Rigs.

I went around the shredders and hit the power plants and anti-air. Once the Anti air was down, I paradropped inf and vehicles. Then after most of the stuff was destroyed, i remembered my preds and sent them in too.

Got this from Gamespot:
You’ve got around a minute after the game starts before a seven-minute long countdown begins. When the countdown is up, the Nod forces will launch a nuke, and presumably your game will end. Don’t worry about the timer here; you’ll have plenty of time, so long as you do things quickly.
Start out by building a War Factory and have it make another Harvester to increase your cash income. With that done, you can build a few APCs with missile launchers or riflemen squads in them to defend the base while building a Tech Center and Armory. These will let you build more Zone Troopers and upgrade them.
Again, don’t worry about the timer overmuch; just build up a small fleet of eight or nine Zone Troopers. When they’re all assembled, move them up along the western side of the map here and have them jump up and over the wall protecting the Nod compound. There’ll be light defenses on this side of the map, so have them destroy turrets as they proceed, then move them up and around the Nod base to reach the three green power supplies there. (If they come under fire from the turrets near the nuke, jumpjet them away.) Destroying any of the three power supplies on the north side of the base will knock the power for the nuclear facility offline, thus stopping the launch countdown.

Leaving some troopers here and destroying the buildings will prevent the Nod forces from ever launching that nuke.

You can leave the Troopers up by the power supplies, if you wish; they won’t be attacked by many units and will be able to destroy the power supplies again when they get rebuilt.
At this point, you’ve basically won, since the Nod won’t be able to fire their rockets as long as your Troopers are in the area. If you wish, you can leave one Trooper unit up here as insurance, and move the rest of them to the southeast, where the main building structures are located for the Nod. They do have an air platform, which will launch gunships that will probably find and kill your troopers eventually, but not before they do some severe damage. If you want to finish off the base, you can send in Troopers or Mammoth from the south, accompanied by Bulldogs to shoot down the gunships. Keep in mind that one of the bonus objectives involves destroying every structure in the area, so be thorough!
If that doesn't work for you, this might, I don't quite remember what I did, it's been me almost a year since I beat it, but here goes:
I built a WF.
From that WF I made a Harvester.
I made 10 APC's and filled them with rocket soldiers ONLY.
I started teching up, using the rockPC's as defense.
Remember to keep the rockPC's together, for maximum firepower.
I made another WF.
I teched up and started building a combination of Mammoth tanks.
Make sure that you have the railgun upgrade.
Make round abouts 10-15 Mammies along with 10-ish Zone Troopers.
Use the above tactics to make the ZTs jump over the walls, while your Mamies go in from the middle.
At this point in time, you should keep your mammies in one group and your ZTs in another.
Place your ZTs near the power sources to protect them from the enemy rebuilding, and send your mammoths in to finish the job.
This worked for me on easy, medium and a slightly variated version of this worked for me on hard, I don't know how it'll turn out for you , but good luck.

What I did was to fly a surveyor to the upper left corner, enough space to build a refinery a barracks and a war factory.
Use orcas if you need to buy some time.
I've been away from this forums 'cause I still don't own KW, hopefully I'll get it soon... not that the work leaves enough time to play tho.

Eh. When I sent a Surveyor, Nod quickly mounted an assault and blew it up.
