Just a small suggestion; maybe it's time to appoint some fresh mods in addition to the current ones, people that visit daily? I'm aware that the Den isn't a very busy place lately, but multiple porn posts and links to trojans/virus/spyware that are not removed (been here for over a day) isn't a good thing. :|

That might be an even better idea, get the crap right at the source. Too bad it isn't possible to stop everything. If need be, I'll volunteer, but you probably got a more interesting solution. ;)

I'm just volunteering cause I lurk actively year-round and I've got nothing better to do around here. And I've got some experience moderating at several smaller forums. My reason was we need active global moderation for the time being and I know I can provide it.

Lion will generally message a person in regards to becoming a moderator and offer it to them, generally people of good character.

That is right. I usually come in, check out the sections real quick, delete posts, and off to work I go. Times are tough for me right now, and I am working a ton of hours. Usually when I am not working I am sleeping. :(
