hi again guys, want to say thanks for everyones help with getting me started on editing red alert. i have the game pretty much set, but i have alot of extra units that im not using that im looking for ideas for. I thought it would also be nice to find out how everyone else has tweaked the game up. so i gues ill start
both factions get the same stuff (adds better balance)
light, medium, heavy, mammoth. jeep, harvester, MCV, and tesla tanks, i have not changed (except giving them to both sides)
Arty-i gave it the cruiser 8inch gun and toned down the power a bit. Adds a new level of challenge since it has a 22 space range. inflated the price to compensate. a glass cannon, but now it is actually a real artillery piece.
Radar Jammer- My favorite. I made it into a flame tank with about the same specs as the tesla tank. Fun to use but has a tendancy to friendly fire your own units.
APC- beefed up with the vulcan gun. now its not as useless.
V2- fires twice as often but its a bit less powerful, good for taking out enemy artys
MIg- now a badger bomber that rains napalm on targets, fun to watch.
paratroops- 10 instead of 5. makes a real difference
Flame tower- same specs as the tesla coil (same range, power, cost, ect.)
units im not using-
medic, tanya, engineer, mechanic, doggy, spy, theif, mine layer, chrono tank, mad tank, yak, the helo's, mobile gap generator
also no nukes, iron curtain, chonosphere, sam site, helipad, camo pillbox, tech centers.
i was thinking about making the mad tank into a tank that repairs other tanks........idk
wanted to use the chinook and give it a machingun, but every time the gun fired, the troops parachuted out :(
anyone have any ideas?
