Breaking news: Family guy no longer funny.

yeah i must have reached some sort of age or maybe i am just tired with it. but either way, family guy is no longer funny at all. its just to random and non-sensical.

before this, i thought simpsons were no longer funny.

right now I really really am into the sometimes subtle, inteligent humore behind the Futurama series. I burned every episode from netflix and watch it everyday when i am going to sleep.

did you know that futurama features the guy from ren and stimpy? billy west?

Family Guy has definitely gotten less and less funny as I've aged. I agree Futurama is much better than Family Guy. South Park is still my favorite though, I have a hard time ever seeing that changing.

6Family guy was never the funniest thing the world have ever seen, but its consistency on some points and randomness was funny, somethings you just didnt' expect... like having peter become a pirate in a car and chase some guy with a weird accent.... or many other events.... but I never expected to last forever, something you would have to seek the writers, its humor changed dramatically along with the animation from the first season, on a sliding scale

The simpsons, they have their moments like Family Guy, but I don't like how their stories are told, everything feels so compacted the movie topped most episodes I've seen because they were allowed more room in a way... more time is better for the Simpsons the way they have shaped their comedy

Futurama for me was one of the most brilliant shows I have ever seen... too bad its going down to its last movie, they had a time zone and a story line that gets better each time you watch it, you'll notice more things they hide so much they really put the best amount of work into those, I remember reading that it took months to make a complete episode so they had to work on several episodes at a time, which really worked out the way they did it... I love watching the commentary for those because it reveals jokes and it isn't babble like they do in the Simpsons commentary, gawd ugly in many of the episodes there

South Park is like one of those things like Robot chicken... that show is so stupid I hate seeing commercials when writing and watching simpsons episodes on my dvr, even if they are just for split seconds (though Robot Chicken Sounds good right about now, bleaahh, South Park)

TBH though the best/funniest animated show on right now is the Grim Adventuers of Billy and Mandy. It just never failed to entertain me, never got old, never relied entirely on random humor (though it has its random moments, in a very good way). Shame they've stopped making episodes, but at least they didn't run it into the ground. I don't know if anyone else liked it.

I've never seen it before, but speaking of cartoon network I also like Frisky Dingo on adult swim. I haven't seen the second season yet though, so I dunno how that is.

If you only watch Adult Swim you wouldn't have. And even in the regular Cartoon Network block it isn't shown as much since the series ended, but they were and maybe still are doing a Courage the Cowardly Dog (another great series, though its several years old) and Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy hour every night. Anyways it would be considered a children's series, but thats done nothing to limit the series. Unfortunately I don't think there are any episodes on Youtube.

Wow, nice way to point out perhaps one of the worst south park episodes ever. The first few seasons I never considered funny, but after that the show took off.

...and oh my god, characters that aren't like real life. Somebody stop the presses, we need to take back almost every cartoon character ever. Let's start with the old Looney Toons.

Btw, sorry you can't seem to figure out the underlying theme that is the funny part, and not the individual puking parts that you think make up the cartoon.

A lot of the South park episodes I have seen are quite funny. The only thing that disturbs me a bit is the strong langauge (Yes I am the type who does not like cursing). To me the Simpons are still funny (maybe it is that loyalty thing or something) but I never really liked family guy.

Family Guy - I just hate it. I can't exactly understand why. I just feel like I shouldn't like the show. I watch it sometimes because my a few of my friends love it. And I think its sort of funny but I really just hate it.

Family Guy has definitely lost some of its allure since it's come back. If it's on, I'll usually watch it and laugh.

But I can safely say that Futurama is incredible. I've watched through the seasons multiple times, and they don't get old. I wish they would just bring the series back, even after doing these "movies".

Southpark is also extremely funny. I guess it's taken me a while to actually appreciate the show, but there are often little subtle things in the episodes that once you pick up on, they're hilarious.

Southpark is a great show, and can be very witty. The Grim Adventures was also really good, I liked the artwork but Cartnoon Network realized that as it was, it probably wasnt a kids show, and changed it, oh well, to bad.... I guess. First off why would your failure to accept yourself for who you are, and thus be free to be yourself on these forums intimidate me? Honestly, I'm curious about this one. I've been on these forums since they were based on the old Echelon boards, I've seen so many people come and go it isn't even funny. Why would you in your apparent insecurities intimidate me? You say you would like the respect that you 'honestly deserve', yet admit to having yet to earn it. As such you are getting the respect you deserve- that being no respect. I know this is a hard concept to understand, however it is something you must grasp- you will have respect when you have earned it.

Also you say I don't deserve to be a 'little king on these boards and insult all new members'. First off, why don't I deserve the position I have here? I've been here a long time and have many close friendships with others on DGNF, including a tight kinship with someone who would later be in my wedding. Why do I not deserve my place here? As for insulting new members, I laugh at that comment. I'm not so hot to trot that I go around putting down everyone that has a later join date than me, if I did I'd really have no friends here. New members are treated with a certain amount of respect right of the bat, however once they have shown that the respect given to them was not warranted (such as in your case) the goal immediately becomes clear- torment them until they change for the better or until they go away. Think of it as a form of hazing. You, and those like you, are going to get ****ed with until you shape up. Get over it.
