I could understand his excitement if this game was looking the least bit promising. Seriously that plane looks as inspired as mud, and the visuals of it shooting a kirov remind me of space invaders.

Right now Im really wondering what they are doing that a skilled boner and modeller couldnt have done!

Maybe I should get off my arse and do something about it :P

You know what I say? EA needs to plan these things out more, not rush the development and production, make them of better then average quality in both gameplay and visuals, and consider the customer and not just throw something out to gain money because you know the die hard fans are going to buy it. I mean I like EA's games but if they can't make it of any better quality than this with how fast they throw it out, then they need to take some time to make it better.

The only thing I could make out from what Soadfan said was that he thought the aircraft shooting the Kirov unit, one of the most dangerous aircraft in the skies looked like space invaders.....
I would say they look like arwings more.... With the blue color

I have to say when Commander Dave picks out a unit to talk about it usually tells me its time to visit the RA3 unit profiles again, thanks CD

Alright Commander Dave, though Sidewinder may not be staff he has been around here longer then you so he knows the ropes. Also, I have a few things to tell you.

1) Triple post is considered spamming, which you are doing in the wrong section. Also, instead of posting twice or more in a row, edit your previous post.

For one thing, Sidewinder lives in the United Kingdom. For another thing this is yet again a sorry attempt at flaming, but it is still flaming and is in the wrong section.

4) Though it isn't exactly against the rules, posting with grammar in your posts is proper and courteous towards the other members, since they won't have as much trouble piecing together what you posted.

This is only meant to help you. Trying to fight against people who have been here longer than you is not the way to get off on the right foot.

If that was the only thing you could make out from my pretty standard post then I think you need to put on some glasses.

How can ANY true c&c fan from the early days honestly say that ra3 looks true to the c&c canon, and feels like a genuine sequel to the best game ever made ( Ra1).

I might only be one person but I own every single c&c game both singly and in the first decade. But I can tell you for a fact now, I will NOT own ra3.

Eh, SCII looked like that in the beginning.... but I doubt the creators of RA2 are going to change it. (Not that I dislike it, I'd play the sequal to RA1 and RA2)

I don't see how its that cartoony it really looks like its bragging quite the graphics, the only things I can make out (besides the soviet structure design if it is that hard for Soad to believe its a move in both directions), are the lightings of most units when they fire (too bright in my opinion)

I hope that the Apollo fighter is an expensive later game unit for that much power against aircraft and that we have already seen two Soviet aircraft available, and we don't know what Japan has (I think its that aircraft that mechs into a boat... not my favorite concept depending on what the boat does what the aircraft doesn't)

Yeah you;re right, but expectancy doesn't make it that much easier does it? Except for a kind of ' I knew it' resignation.

Its not really just about the cartoony graphics anyway that bothers me, my original prejudging post says it all, its about the milking the series with games with a higher number in front of them that try to dazzle us with hype and flashy colours, and ultimately are rushed out and everyone critisizes them after a few months. However due to the fact everyone bought it it's not REALLY problem for them is it?

The change has to start somewhere people.

The only way for their mindset to really change is for all customers to not buy any of their games, or at least 75% of the customers to not buy them. Once they start loosing money then things will change, but I really don't see that happening anytime soon.
