This has been going on for a long time now, and I'd like to know why I've been getting these random "400 BAD REQUEST" Messages plastering themselves on top of whatever I was viewing. It has been becomming very frequent as of late, and I wanted to know if it was just me, and if anyone can fix it.

It only happens to me when I stay on one page for a long time.

it just happened to me again after about 5 minutes of reading a thread. Here is the exact message:
400 Bad Request

I'll get those mostly when I try to enter another page, but if I have more tabs on its less likely to affect me in a serious matter

It's happening to me too. Sometime a blue screen with a random error message pops up when I post as well.

I haven't had that problem in years on this site...what browser and scheme are you guys using? Firefox 3 and Modden scheme 1 here.

Internet explorer 7 and using RADEN scheme, although I switched to PETRODEN scheme and still had the problem. Used MODDEN scheme for about 5 mins and got the error, too.

closest error I get is an "unable to find server" from time to time. A quick refresh usually is enough to get by (but it is annoying)
EDIT: still on firefox 2, will update later though.

no, i mean it plasters this message ON TOP of whatever page i was viewing, right in the middle of me doing something.
Very annoying.

I've gotten it only once so far. AT&T Yahoo browser with MODDEN scheme 1.

It looks like a problem with the server's software which Lion will have to get on to them about. It won't make any difference what forum scheme you use as it's nothing to do with that.

What about user titles? Will they make a difference?

Ok ok I own up, I made it so everyone who doesn't come from England has problems on the forums as I'm anti-restoftheworld :o

I'd like to bump this thread because the problem still persists and it's getting worse than ever. It will sometimes plaster itself in 2 or 3 places on one page while I view it!!

Have you tried reinstalling your network card? I think that and/or router troubles can cause the bad requests. It can't be server only as I and many other people don't have a problem at all.

Not seeing the problem, either. Hasn't popped up in a long time.

odd... the problem was really only there yesterday. It has virtually vanished today and now that i think of it, I haven't seen it happen much otherwise...
Maybe just my ISP being weird on some days...?

That's probably something to do with it yes.
