Hello,

Since I just did areformat of my computer, I have again quite a lot of space on my hard disc, and only 1 game installed, not even a c&c. But I think I'm ready to plunge myself into to modding scene... of which I know very litlle.
What I really want to know is in fact very simple:
Which Games is the easiest to mod: RA2 Yuri or Generals:ZH?

And would it be better to first just start doing maps, or is going directly to unitmodding just as difficult as doing maps?

Thanks for any advise!

Yuri's Revenge by far but Zero Hour isn't bad once you understand the syntax.

Once you take the time to understand how everything works, they are both fairly simple. I will admit, however, that YR is MUCH simpler and far easier to learn. With Generals, however, quite alot more is possible. It really boils down to which engine you like better.

Whichever you choose, I can help you get started if you need any help.
(BTW: I am alot more proficient in YR modding)

And to your second question, making a basic map is pretty easy. Modding the game / units is on a moderate difficulty level. Advanced map making with triggers and such is actually kind of hard.

But like I said, I can do all of them and i'm right here if you need help.
