Hi,
The thing is I want to preorder/buy this game but I m afraid not to be a waste of time since i am really dissapointed in the way EA has handled the CnC franchise. Im a big fan of old Red Alerts and was happy to see it announced but i got second thoughts after i saw flying bears.
Now the question is...if it s not illegal and u ve got an extra key would u mind giving me one to try since i don t wanna throw money out of the window by buying yet another game EA has destroyed? If u would do that it would mean alot...send me an email at doicescu_radu@yahoo.com
I would really appreciate it, cuz I won t buy the game unless i test it first and beta is close to ending anyways.
Ty in advance

why not just wait untill it comes out, play it on one of the pc's in one of your local game-shops and then decide if you want to buy it or not?

1. I would like to pre-order it.
2. There are no gameshops in my city that have computers able to handle newest games

Not everyone has shops near them that offer such a luxury btw.
I would strongly advise you to try before you buy by ANY means possible.
I have a sneaking suspicion ra3 will be the game where die hard c&c fans finally finish with EA and c&c.

Well soad either you haven't played the beta or you are so blind in your bias against EA that you haven't seen the overwhelmingly positive feedback from beta testers. and if these "die hard" fans are as close minded, nit picky and so resistant to any change like yourself...than all I can say is good riddance.

Besides the large amount of bugs (which are usually graphical and technical crash bugs, and you expect these things in a BETA release), the RA3 BETA gameplay is godly. BEST gameplay any CNC game has ever had, IMO. Even if you think the storyline sucks balls, buy this game just because the gameplay is so great.
Hard counters, great balance, and promotes tons of micromanagement and strategy. As far as gameplay goes, what more could an RTS ask for besides graphics (and RA3's aren't too shabby IMO)?

Valid points indeed, especially micromanagement and strategey. I just got done with a game where, by all odds, I should have lost: it was a 2v2, and my ally wasn't doing anything. So essentially it was a 2v1. My initial rush was thrwarted and I had basically no units - of course they didn't either. If they had been sneaky and micro'd their units better, they could have beaten me - I micro'd mine very well though and in turn basically steamrolled both of the other two players.

It's all about strategy and skill. Even troop compisition plays a smaller role than it used to in strategy. You know that a game is really made to greatly support micromanagement and strategy when troop compisition takes a backseat to micromanagement in the strategy of the game.

It's completely impossible to tell how EA is going to support the game when it's released.
And since lack of support is what killed the last 4 titles/expansions, I doubt we can trust them with RA3 until it's been out successfully for a few months.

Launching infantry units with a Bullfrog is a LOT different than flying bears.

PARATROOPER bears are different than FLYING bears.
Sure the bullfrog is an impractical unit, but it is very interesting to watch on certain maps

He probabably mean bears being fired from bull frogs.
Also, from the beta, things looks pretty damn swell, I've already preordered without a second thought.
The only thing that should bother you is japanese battleships and their magical negative 90 degree turret depression that allows to them hit a sub right next to them.
I'm not sure if it's illegal, but I'm pretty sure the keys are one time use only.

I've played beta as well and I can say I love the Allies the only problem for me is how powerful empire seems atm with their tengu units and shogun ships. I also think that their vehicle travel time could do with a slow down to avoid any similar incidents with the whole ground control aspect. I mean I had a guy try to barracks rush memdeploy 2 barracks outside my base and TRY to engineer rush me and later pump out AT soldiers and imp warriors, didnt work but he still got me with those tengu units.

I think you meant to say "I doubt we can trust them with RA3 once it's been out successfully for a few months."

No, I think he meant that we can only trust them once they have proven themselves trustworthy after a few months of good support. It needs more than a few months though.
