Hey everyone, I've just got a quick question that I need help with.

As I've tried the editor that comes with the Windows 95' Edition of Red Alert 1 I've run into some questions that I'd greatly appreciate getting answered.

First off, How can I place structures (Ex. Houses, Tech Centers[ones with the 3 dome looking spheres on the roof-top], Forward Command Posts, normal Buildings, and Third party / neutral buildings.)

How could I create civillians?

How if possible could I create a map indoors (or underground like the ones in missions)

If impossible with the standard editor is there a Mod I can download to upgrade it?

Is there a better editor out there that I would be able to use?
- If so could I get a name and possible link to a download site.

Are there mods that I would be able to install and play that add units/structures I can use with running Red Alert on Windows 95' Compatability mode?

Thanks soooooooo much if you can help me answer any of these questions!

I don't believe there is a way to add structures into the game via the map editor. Singleplayer missions only, and the map editor didn't make singleplayer missions.

If my memory serves me well, the only way to make Single Player maps was in... notepad. I remember having made several and it was long and not easy.

The way to place structures and objects on maps is rather easy actually.

- Create the map you want with the Map Editor.
- Place a tree where you want an object to rest.
- Save the map.
- Open it in Notepad, or any text editor, and replace the tree with your desired object.
- Save the map.
- Test it.

Or use a real map editor like RAED
