Once again. Piracy leads to MORE DRM not LESS.
Business executives don't think in terms of logic they think in terms of money. Stopping pirates for 2 weeks is better than not stopping pirates. DRM only stops casual downloaders and in turn harms paying customers.
Stop being a smug fag and simply Buy the game or stop gaming. Fact is, pirates still play the game, not adding to sales but to percieved desirability.

I'm going to go ahead and buy it, just to see how good it is. If I don't like it I'll just put it on the back shelf of my game collection so I don't have to look at it.

The fact that EA has resorted to using malware to stop piracy is simply ludicrous, but that isn't stopping me from buying this game. Yes, I played the BETA, and gameplay is simply awesome enough to offset the annoyances.

Well I preordered in Feburary, then switched to the Primier edition when I heard about it.
I actualy don't have the cash on hand at the moment to pay it off though, i think i have 50 due on it.

Nah I'm not going to pirate it.
Im going to wait a few months to see what the reaction is AFTER the honeymoon period, and should something unknown sway me into buying the game I'll get it at a cheaper price. After all I'd only want to play it online and its too much hassle if you dont buy it.
Pre-ordering Ra3 is not a wise move unless you have lots and lots of money.

I'll wait to see how it is first; I've learned to be cautious with EA stuff.

Lots and lots of money? 50-70 is lots and lots of money? Ouch if thats true for you. Its a very wise move if you played and enjoyed the beta. What is wise is not to dictate your opinion to others as fact.

What I do is called being assertively opinionated, lots of people do it.
It should be obvious its my opinion, so I dont need to write 'I think' or 'Personally' before each sentence :p .
If you enjoyed the Beta then yes buy it, but I still dont think spending £34.99 on a game from a development/publisher with a bad track record is actually a wise investment.
I would love to be proven wrong though.

Of course I'm buying it. C&C is my girlfriend, the love of my life. No matter whose hands she's in, I'll defend her to my death.

EA again fail to amuse me at this one... plus, to me, the game sounds really stupid (like. human cannon for the soviet and expecially the bear in armor... and bunch transformers for the japs...), and the game play looks like another spam fest similiar to CNC 3. i recommend Company of Heroes to u guys, its much more micro and macro and tactic involved.

Company of Heroes is a grat game visually and tactically.
Although it doesn't contain the 'style' of previous c&c games, so would choose c&c still except for Ra3, I would choose COH over Ra3 anyday.
I think this thread shows that lots of people feel the way I do about the game.
Its only a microcosm of views but it is representitive of the general view of the game.
Certain other forums arent as they are Bias.

No matter how much money you have, or how much something costs, you should always use it wisely. (But I think what he is trying to say is that he would rather use it on something else than preorder a game he does not like)

When I read the thred title I though : "Why they even ask? The only answer is...YES!".
Well I have bought all the C&C games from the very first release back in 1995 when it came to DOS. I still have it.
