It doesn't really contain spoilers but you never know. Doesn't contain anything about the story, but it does contain stuff about the gameplay.

Is it me, or do you have to be really agressive against a Skirmish AI if you want to win? The first game I played against a medium I almost got raped because I bunkered, didn' thave enough money while that pesky Imperial was teching and building up.
The second game I played I often went to hit and run him with Twinblades and Akulas while still spreading to other ore mines and it went much better.

And when will there be a "Red Alert 3 Tactics" subforum? :p

I noticed the same. And versus a hard enemy you better only attack, because so will he. No stopping that guy..

Yeah, the same thing happened to me as well, too used to CNC3 I guess. But anyways, I have found out that making a small infantry force and rushing the easy or medium AI works well, you'll severely cripple if not completely destroy the AI's base.

As for hard and, god forbid, brutal comps, rushing does not work as well, unless you mix in some infantry with vehicles.

Oh I don't know, I myself seem to be an expert a defence while attacking so I actualy like to toy with the computer. Unless the sucker gets angry and goes all out on me, then god forbid I make a mistake.

I find the key is making multible secondary bases as you build up an attack force.

That way if you come under attack, you can continue production and teching at another base.

My tactic is to keep him "small". I usually go attack the AI very early with 2 Twinblades and 2 MiGs. First I eliminate anything that poses an immediate threat to my Twinblades, then I kill a refinery but I continue producing 3 or 4 extra Twinblades to have a little more firepower (2 Twinblades take ages to kill a building) I kill some power plants and then I retreat to my base. This gives me time to build up more, spread to other ore nodes and build Akula's to go harass his water buildings (Akula's secondary ability is very good for this). I just make sure I don't let the AI build too many T3 units so I regularly go harass his water base with Akula's and his land base with Twinbladfes excorted by MiGs.

To finish the AI off, depending on my mood, I either go bomb his base with Dreadnoughts (escorted by Bullfrogs for those Rocket Angels) or I squish everything with Apocalypses and Hammer tanks.
