I has a Q and needs an A from Lion.

Why do you still call it your 'Daily Blurb' if you post every other day? I mean, the last time you posted a Blurb, followed the next day by another Blurb was October 10th.
Shouldn't you call it 'Lions Every-Other-Daily Blurb'? No offense meant, of course. In fact this post is half me trying to be funny to appeal to my peers in the wrong fashion (Namely KO, my hero! :gnarly:).

But the other half is still true. Just a little contradiction that I wanted to point out.

it is similar to my "Not so Quotable Quote of the Week" it is more of a catchy title then actual functionality. At least that is my take on it.

Well for one thing hes the boss, so he could call it "Lions bi-annual musings which are thoughtful and interesting but not in a way that means I want to listen to other peoples point of view if they disagree with me blurb" and we'd just have to accept it :p

He calls it a daily blurb because back in the day he posted a new topic daily. Now I think he doesn't have enough free time to post a daily one.

Well yea I figured that, the 'Back in the day' and the 'not enough free time' part.

Probably be best to just leave it at that then.

Why not just call it "The Blurb"?

Good point, and I'll give you the answer. The frequency of the 'daily blurb' hinges mainly on whatever the subject matter is. Many of the topics in my daily blurbs generate much feedback. In the past I stuck to the one day blurb posting, and then of course closed that particular blurb for discussion before posting the next blurb.

It has been requested of me over the past several months from frequent posters to my daily blurb that I extend the time they can respond to my blurbs. Hence the reason I leave blurbs run for two and sometimes three days, depending on how hot the topic is. I try and choose my blurb topics that are interesting and hopefully generate discussion. I try to provoke thought. It seems to work fine the way it is now.

I've learned over my 10+ years of running websites that it's IMPOSSIBLE to please all of the people all of the time, and I won't drive myself silly trying to do so. I am an imperfect Lion living in an imperfect world. I do my best and hope it's enough.

A very charismatic answer. Thanks, Lion! :D

You might also open up the next blurb, while the previous still stays open, Lion ? Just an idea to please more people :).

Not necessary, and this topic is now closed.
