I was pondering on the meaning of life this week...can ya tell winter cabin fever is starting to set in on me? Anyhoot, I got to thinking that life is sort of like RTS games, and namely the fog of war, or in the case of life, the fog of events that haven't yet happened. I then asked myself a question I'm sure many have asked of themselves...'if given the opportunity, would I want to see into the future?' And how far into the future would I want revealed to me? For myself, I'd only need one day. I'd get the next day's newspaper and play the lotto numbers...instant millionaire. Not sure if I want to go any further than one day though. Knowing too much of the future could drive you to insanity. Of course, you would have to believe that a future already exists in time, even though those events haven't taken place yet. Or have they? What about people that have premonitions that come true? Did they see into a future that already exists? Important questions to ponder on. Why do they put round pizzas in a square box, and do butterflies remember life as a caterpillar?
