I was out all day Wednesday plowing snow. We only got about 3" of snow, but on top of that was a layer of ice and sleet. Really made things a sloppy mess, plus it's a bit hard plowing snow that's got that layer of ice on top. Anyhoot, that 3" of snow is the biggest of the winter season for my neck of da woods. For the past 10 years or so our winter seasons have seen very little snowfall, and our temps have been higher than what I would call normal. I blame our mild winters on Global Warming, and of course Barrack Obama since he's now President.

Like i said, we got 9 foot snow banks.

There is no Global Warming problem here. Not yet anyways, winter is par usual. Cold assed, we had at least 10 days of -30 celsius to over -40, and a trillion tons of snow. Been the same for 46 years.

The Base is at a much higher elevation than the town, its always at least 5 degrees colder up there and then add in extra snow as well.

Ill see you all in 3-6 months, i leave for Afghanistan tomorrow. From -30 C to 100 degrees plus in 24 hours. Yuck...

Take care guys.

Well, this year we had a visual on real snow falling in years, here in the coastal area (snow is usual in the interior and high mountain areas, of course), which was a first time to some youngies, and that was cool. I'm sure you guys who live in heavy snow areas can make a laugh of this but it means something here.
It was really cold (for our usuals) and reched -4º in some nights. Some heavy blizzards also made some show of. I would say it have been a pretty cold and wet winter so far. We don't feel any kind of global warming process here.
Anyway, most times when ppl complain about having weather more unstable is just forgetting old past winters. There are colder and wet ones, milder and dry ones. We just have a short memory about it.:)
