You live in small town America, and you think your safe. Well, at least I've generally had the feeling of being safe, although we do lock our doors at night. The mass killing by that crazed gunman in Alabama this week makes me wonder just how safe I really am. Also, from what I've read about it HERE (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,508507,00.html), one does need to be careful how you talk to some folks. The dude that did the killings was keeping a 'hit list' of people who done him wrong. Eleven people died, including the gunman who took his own life. He killed his own mother, grandmother, and two cousins, then randomly killed a few others who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. One was an 18 month old baby. He also killed four defenseless dogs. It's just so senseless ya know. Why do these nut cases always have to take someone with them when they decide it's time to leave this world? Can anyone answer that for me please? What's so strange is the fact he was well liked by the community. You just never know what's going on inside people's minds nowadays.

There was also a shooting in Germany, and some guy got into a standoff with the police where I live that caused some shooting, but at least that one ended without anyone getting hurt.

yeh, the shooting in germany ended up with 16 dead people; too bad they shot the bastard also to hell. Now he does not have to face court.

A quick explanation is that it's a great way to exert power that you've felt like you've never had. Hence the reason for most gunmen taking (or trying) to end their lives at the end. It's deeply tragic, in any matters. As well as the business over in Germany. Saddening.

Yea...I just heard about the school shootings in Germany. Thought that kind of stuff just happened in America. Must be something in the air.

Actually I think that was the better option what the Police did (if he is dead, I don't keep up with the news always sucks), or it probably would of ended up being years through the bull**** and costly to the people another way... Unless Germany is not as ridiculous as America....

And this is another reason also to uphold the 2nd Amendment, otherwise their would be even more victims...

Unless Germany is not as ridiculous as America....I have to correct myself: he was being shot by a police officer, but it was not a mortal wound. He shot himself dead. Due he dead now, he avoids\ed being locked away for the rest of his life, which is far worse then being simply dead.
