The first day of trout season started this past Saturday in my neck of da woods. Normally I would go fishing for the state stocked fish, but high muddy waters and very high winds put a halt to that for me. I did drive around to a few of my fav local fishing holes and watched some of the diehards who decided to brave the high water and winds. Very little if any fish were being caught, but they'll be there for another day. When it IS nice outside, fishing for me is one of the most relaxing things to do. There's just something about water that gives me a calming effect. Heck, I don't even need to catch a fish to enjoy myself. In my neck of da woods we have some of the best limestone creeks to be found, and the scenery surrounding our streams (see pic here (http://www.cncden.com/lionland/fall2004_02.jpg)) sets a perfect picture. That particular picture shows the stream that runs right along my back yard. It's a joy to wake up to that each morning.
