Cuba's Fidel Castro, Syria's Bashar al-Assad and Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad all have something in common besides being world renown baddies. They all LOVE our new President, Barrack Obama. Barrack and his wife have already wooed all of the European countries. It's turning into a regular love fest. Before President Obama opens up dialogue with the baddies, he needs to remind them of their human rights violations, particularly in Iran where they execute children. You really can't try and build relationships with countries who violate basic human rights. It just won't work. I'm all for world peace, but all the talking in the world won't change the hearts and minds of people who have evil embedded inside them. Can evil be transformed? Sure it can, but our President ain't the one to do it. Now before ya'll get bent out of shape, I have nothing against President Obama. I just don't want him to take America down the wrong path. North Korea shot off that missile they were told not to do, and America's response is to do nothing. I hope we don't become a paper Lion.

Blurb extended through Friday.

america needs to do some more diplomatics than just sit in a corner and whine :D

These are hard times, people seriously need to work togheter and communicate more and more, its just the natural order of things.
More social life is required of people to get things to work.
Say you can be a artist but if you can't talk about your art or show it to peope nobody's gonna get to know you or your work, simple as that. ;)

Imo, I like this kind of actions more then the one Bush used. Reall, nobody can say that shooting first and then thinking is the best. Maybe Obama takes things a bit too optimistic, but it's like he said: "I'm maybe an idealist, but if you don't put up high objectives, you are not going to achieve anything".

I read there was a swedish dude who was part of helping sweden during the financial crisis during the early 90'ies to share his knowledge with a special crisis group wich will work to get the economy flowing again.

the idea is to take over banks temporary and let them go after a while when they've healed their wounds I think.
Anyways about Cuba its a old grudge from Us goverment that should have been put aside along time ago.
Now its time to put hate and anger aside and connect everybody again. :)

ENOUGH OF BEING THE ****ING WORLD BULLY! I am tired of this Neo Con/Liberal bull**** where we tell everyone how it is. This is exactly what Wildrow Wilson pledged in his change of Foreign Policy and its weaken us as a nation. Stop picking favorites and treat everyone the same. Government is suppose to be a negative, defensive, and protective force of our rights only, not some Police force and mediator for ****ing countries. And don't give me this paper Lion ****... We don't have to keep acting tough, and keeping this bad ass image.. it just makes us look pathetic and weak.. Remember Pride comth before the fall. Military aggression undermines our National Security.

Why don't we stop the sanctions, the embargoes, the threats, and just set an example of a true Free nation. We have nothing to prove. Besides.. the world already knows how much of a threat we can be... just look at what we did to Japan... And don't worry about Obama, he is continuing Bush's job, more of the same bull****. Sacrificing Liberty for our Security and Benjamin Franklin is rolling in his grave.

Instead of picking apart the rest of the post that reeks of nationalist agenda (or ignorance?), I'll instead ask...

Why isn't President Obama the one to do it?

EDIT: Actually, I just read every post, and with few exceptions (like the two above me) they make me sad, insecure, and completely happy that I'm currently traveling around the east coast and unable to actually post any argument. I'd rather bang my head on my lap top and post what types out.

Sorry JFK did nothing, He just happened to get killed before any of his flaws came out.

I for one can not stand a single thing that Obama Stands for. However, the mess that the USA is in is not his fault.

It is the fault of the republicans. Plain and simple. They had the majority of congress and the presidency yet they failed to live up to the conservative promises that they made to the country. The republicans choose this path when they turned there back on their conservative ideals. Now we have to pay the price.

Now, we have a dem congress and presidency and they are keeping all of the liberal and socialist promises that they made.

Comrades Welcome to the USSA founded 2008.

My opinion is F them all. Lets let the Dems flush the country down the toilet like the republicans have and hopefully America will get sick of this leech that the US Govt has become and actually reform it.

PS Did anyone honestly believe OBAMA was going to change anything that mattered?

JFK was going to reduce and get rid of the Federal Reserve, he was going to get the advisers out of Vietnam... He was killed by the International Bankers.. They thought he would make a good puppet like his Dad, but he didn't obey them and neither did his Brother.

"Man is what he is born to be, Free and Independent." -JFK
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAaQNACwaLw

Excuse me not his fault? Obama funded the damn war, voted for the Patriot Act, and the Democrats in Congress never shut down the war with its funding... AT ALL.. for 2 years in their control. You are right about Conservatives acting like Liberals.

Just look at the Drug War... "You can not legislate morality" - Barry Goldwater

And yet with Democrats in uproar about it.. their own party isn't even ending it.

Both parties suck.

While human rights is an important issue to bring up with these despots, they can easily fight back. Our relations with Saudi Arabia, China, Vietnam, and a whole host of other countries that have big human rights problems will be called out immediately. People need to understand that our country is NOT the world police. Thomas Jefferson believed in talking and trading with everyone and not getting involved in tangled alliances. Do I believe that Obama actually wants to shift in our foreign policy, hell no. The same supporters for the Iraq debacle (the Neoconservatives) are surrounding Obama.

If nothing else, JFK was a badass for coming out and saying "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"

Totally 180º attitude shift from what Congress and the Presidency are telling us today.

It started with Bush, and then Clinton before that.

If it started with Bush, then how could Clinton have done it before Bush started it? That would mean Bush didn't start it. :p
