Once you've set up base build three airbases and load it up with 6 or 7 twinblades. Then send them north to the uppermost part of the island you are based on.

Then build a naval base and a bullfrog, a barracks and 4 Tesla troopers, a Battle Lab and Natasha. Load the troopers into the bullfrog with Natasha and send them up north too (on land).

Then start building a fleet of 12 MICs at your airbases. Send them up north too when they are completed but in the meanwhile get the twinblades to attack the air defenses on the northeast corner of the statue island behind the statue. Get them to attack the one on the corner, the one slightly down from that one and if you can take out the one direclty behind the statue (if you're TBs are destroyed by then don't worry.

Now get the 12 MICs to fly up north to where the bullfrog is and move across to the statue where they'll be engaged by Allied jets - destroy the jets and stay there as more will be scrambled shortly. Now get the bullfrog to launch Natasha and the troopers across the water to the area behind the statue. Not too close to the Athena cannons which should now be assembled around the remaining air defense. Move the TTs in first to attack the tanks but quickly before they get killed drop an Orbital Drop on the tanks, including the remaining air defense (they should all be clustered together). Now you can simply move Natasha a bit closer and order an airstrike on the Statue! Success!!

Its MiG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiG), not "MIC".

i thought i had it wrong but u get picture anyway

what do u think? when i saw the map i thought why go in through the front with an army when you can go in round the back with a commando?

It's possible to destroy the Allied base's economy by just sending 3-4 Akulas to the back of the base and destroying the outposts and refineries. Afterwards, head further northwest to destroy their shipyards and carriers, and finally a couple of dreadnoughts to finish off their conyards. Easy pickings after that.

In fact the only major issue I had with the map was dealing with the Chronosphere assaults and unusually tough paradrops.

The biggest problem is having money. You need to expand very quickly to the island were your tesla tanks are. Once you got that one you have good income. Key here is to have a solid navy while having enough ground troups to defend against paratroopers and especially chrono'd-in troups. A good defence would be a few terror drones, a pair of apocs and bullfrogs. If you keep those intact you have nothing to worry about ground assaults.

For your navy I would really recommend to have terror drones in your mix. Very handy to get rid of the heavy units like the assault destroyers. your main units should be akula's. Further also 4-6 dreadnaughts. Make 2 groups, 1 small with 2 dreadnoughts, 2 bulls and 3 akulas. All the rest is in the main group. You use the main group mainly as a distraction for the small group, as the small group is going around the edge to the back of the enemy, where you backstab them critically. Don't forget to use your support powers, first use your space magnet (or whatever it is), and then the orbital thump. In the main group you use the iron curtain on the terror drones and let them attack first before doing anything. Deadly at best.

Your only matter now would be the ground units on that island. Do whatever you want then. Nuke them, use support powers, bombard them. Whatever.

I was dissapointed with this mission actually. Too easy.

no-one's actually commented on my strategy, which is suggesting this mission is even easier than ppl already think it is, if you just avoid approaching from the front, and go north to the point where a bullfrog can launch natasha OVER the water ONTO the top of the island by the statue. 95% of the Allied forces are stationed IN FRONT of the statue, so Natasha can easily blow up the statue in one go as long as you take care of the air defenses/forces which shoot Natasha before she lands on the island.

That would be making an easy mission even easier :p.

The entire Soviet campaign seems like it was deliberately designed to be slightly easier than the others. The only missions that are troublesome are the one in Iceland and the Circus - mainly because if you're not prepared for what's going to happen in them, it can get nasty.

The other campaigns though... well, that's a different story altogether, with the final Allied mission taking the gold above all others for sure.:dead:

Yeh indeed. I ussually get in trouble when the vacuum bomb shows up. My personal best strategy is just spawning IFVs and mirage tanks and sweaping the right side. I also use my starting units inmediarely. to clear out the war factories just across the the bridge. Don't know anymore how I managed to destroy the vaccuum bomb however. I used some sort of combination of surgical strike and time bomb with something else.
I ussually have to save my AI partner too at numerous times.

ye the soviet campaign is the one the game recommends you start with, so theyve tried to make it easier.

my fave mission tho is Allies - Mt Rushmore!!! wat a level!!
