@Mighty BOB!
So what you are saying that the reason tiberium is on Earth and that they use to heal in have been abandonded by the Scrin?
(could not view your .jpg files due to permisson errors)
1. GDI structures built ala Soviets RA3? Y not Allied RA3..makes more sense and not vunerable during build
2. Your idea for support powers would take an extreme amount of coding as well as resources to monitor. Therefore the sys reqs would be higher.

Cannot comment further due to not being able to view your pics

@MightyBOB!

I can see what you mean in the pics and I totally agree..there should have been boundries in TS and Firestorm which would have changed the dynamic of the game but that is another discussion.

In re reading your storyline I cant help but feel that since the Tiberium has overtaken the planet and the Scrin have constructed so many Ion Storm Columns .. how is it that man can even survive in such conditions?
Furthermore would not GDI and NOD NEED to put aside any of their differences and work together in order to reclaim the planet? Seems kind of useless to fight each other when the inevedable(spelling?) that man should be eliminated.

The map rules are just like TS and not saying it is a bad thing.. I think that it would bring many (and I mean MANY) different dynamics to the game. Almost endless possibilities considering the eventual modding that would be done.

Back to the storyline.. I would like to see man reclaim the planet and through the process of GDI and Nod working together they find a mutual understanding of each others ideology that they would be able to build a new and required way of life in that war would be no more due to the detrimental effects that it would bring about. Man would have to keep Tiberium in check while ever improving on the PDS (Planetary Defense System).
I only say this because this is supposed to be the end of the Tiberian Saga.

seriously, y do people want happy endings so much... in a war torn world like the tiberium one, it'd be far more likely for both sides to choose the path of martydom since their leaders are opposing extremists. the story would be far better if it ended with an epic showdown leading to the destruction of the planet. =]

Well as you will recall, Ion Storms are a naturally occurring phenomenon before the Scrin arrive. But you are correct that with their Storm Columns, there would now be both natural and artificial storms (although I don't think with the frequency you are expecting. More like TS times 1.5 to 2). The natural storm frequencies and intensities vary by Blue/Yellow/Red Zone. Most of humanity avoids Red Zones already so it is a somewhat moot point how many occur there. Oh which reminds me, that the Scrin get certain bonuses when they are in both Tiberium and in an Ion Storm. (Tiberium obviously being healing, and maybe a little bit of Tiberium harnessing for enhanced damage, and they could possibly also draw energy from Ion Storms to boost attacks.)

I too envision that man would reclaim his world from Tiberium. I haven't really thought through that part entirely to the end, but I suppose in the back of my mind I always envisioned GDI unlocking some secret of the Tacitus to reverse the Tiberium plague, and Nod always wanted to spread Tiberium to evolve humanity to some "next level" (as a species) so we would become something more than just human but GDI can't see what that vision is (while they still have human eyes. ;) ) And yes the PDS would play an important role, not only as orbiting Ion Cannons, satellites, drop nodes, and space stations, but as short-ranged (astronomically speaking; 0.01 AU [astronomical units; aka the distance from the Sun to Earth) warships as well. It is true that GDI might need to admit that they need the help of Nod.

This all just seems like a bunch of rediculous namby pamby BS.

Kane would NEVER allow such a union to take place, and GDI would be hard pressed to even consider the possibility.

And what's with this forcing a player to only be able to play for one side during the campaign? That was the final straw for me.
