Here is a modification I made. This one is for old school players. It's supposed to capture the feeling of the first Red Alert with it's completely remaped units. I actually made some voxels for this one. The AH-1 Cobra, F-22 Raptor, AV-8 Harrier, Stryker and the Homeworld 2 interceptor I created (also the F-16 which isn't shown).

There are now more aircraft than are in the screenshot, they just weren't in the game when I took the screen. Same goes for the mechs. Nod has a mech now, it' small but packs a punch. You're infantry won't be shrunk like the ones in this screen because I changed mine to 80%, and I don't know how to do that without changing the original files yet so I didn't want to mess up your game.

This game is good for skirmish matches, I haven't tested the campaign but it should function.
I haven't tested this version much. So, test it for me and post your comments!

Does anyone even play this game anymore? I'll probably get punished for posting in my own thread without anyone else's reply. Oh well, I found a modification called 'Tiberian Sun : Retro' on another site. Retro is insanly fun. Sadly, I'll have to say it's more fun than my mod. even when they don't have laser tanks, AV-8's and stealth troops.

Yeah I've played TS:retro - it is a good mod but I actually didn't find it that fun. How do you install your mod? Is it easy to uninstall? If so I'll give it a try sometime tonight probably. :)

Update : I reconstructed the entire mod. It's a whole new game, please check it out if you downloaded the old version. Because, this is 10 times better.

It's easy enough to install. Just make sure you back up the original files so that if you don't like it you can instantly have your old game back. Just replace rules.ini and art.ini, plus add the expansion 00.mix. For the most part, I didn't change any of the core concepts. The original game is still there, all I did was expand on it. Backing up the Rules.ini is more important than the art.ini. You could probably just replace my modification's rules.ini with the original and the game would be back to normal. However, I suggest replacing both the rules.ini and the art.ini with the original files and deleting the expansion 00.mix for a complete uninstall.

I cleaned up the messiness of my original version. It took less time than I thought it would. This modification is godly. That is all.
